42. We brought you dinner

"Read that text from Ben again?" Rami asks Gwil with a grin.
Gwil lets out a soft chuckle and pulls out his phone. "All he send is: Hey guys, Joe's awake!"
Rami looks at Ben and Joe with a big smile. "I don't see much of that now."
Gwil just smiles at that.
Ben and Joe are still peacefully asleep against each other in Joe's hospital bed.
The blond boy has his arms protectively wrapped around his boyfriend, pulling him into his chest.
The ginger is curled up against Ben's chest, his head buried into the blond's neck.
"How cute they are." Gwil whispers with a grin. Both can't help but be relieved to see that Joe is okay again.
"I'm just glad they made up." Rami says with a smile.
Gwil nods in agreement.
"Shouldn't we wake them up for dinner?" Rami says as he looks at his watch.
Gwil thinks for a moment, but then shakes his head. "I don't think so. Not yet. I mean, Ben is totally exhausted from staying with Joe the last three days. He hasn't gone home once. He deserves some sleep." He says as he looks at Ben.
Who indeed looks like he hasn't slept in ages. The boy looks pale and has bags under his eyes.
"Yeah, you're right. What if we get them dinner? Like non-hospital food. We can wake them when we get back." Rami suggests.
Gwil smiles and nods. "Good idea. Let's go."

"We should set an alarm to wake them up." Rami says with a smirk.
Gwil rolls his eyes. "Can't we just wake them up in a normal way?" But it doesn't matter what he says, because Rami has already taken his phone to set an alarm.
"No we can't." Rami grins.
Gwil sighs. "Don't set it too loud though. We don't want Joe's headache to get worse." He warns his friend.
They both turn towards the bed when they hear one of their friends stirring a little.
"Don't worry about me, I'm on strooong drugs." Joe mumbles with a yawn. He opens his eyes, and can't help but grin when he sees the disappointment in Rami's eyes.
"Joe we're so glad you're okay again." Gwil says with a big smile.
A sleepy smile appears on Joe's face. "Well, long live the drugs." He says as he closes his eyes again. He puts his head back on Ben's chest, the latter is still fast asleep.
"Well, I can still wake Ben with the alarm?" Rami says. He pouts a little when Joe shakes his head.
"No. Can't you just let us sleep?" The ginger groans.
Gwil takes his phone to check how late it is. "It's almost 8:30 Pm. You gotta eat sometime. Aren't you hungry then?" He says.
Joe shrugs and opens his eyes. "Okay, well maybe I am. But just let Ben sleep for a while then. He must be exhausted. He looks pale as a corpse." He says as he looks at his boyfriend.
"Thanks, you look very pretty too." Ben mumbles before opening his eyes.
Joe giggles softly and gives the boy a kiss. "Good morning Benny." He whispers before settling down into Ben's embrace. 
"We brought you guys some dinner." Gwil says, pointing at the table.
Ben yawns and smiles at his friends. "That's sweet guys."

Once they all have their food, spontaneous conversations come up. Everything to distract them from the whole 'being poisoned' situation.
While taking small bites of his dinner, Joe can't resist and stares at Ben. The blond is wearing a rather tight shirt, making all his muscles very visible.
After a while, Ben notices the loving glances his boyfriend is giving him. A big smile appears on his face.
But Ben isn't the only one noticing the staring Joe. Both Gwil and Rami have to do their best not to laugh when they see Joe biting his lip as he lets his eyes run over Ben's body.
"Aren't you hungry Joe?" Rami asks with a smirk.
The ginger blinks a few times before shifting his gaze from Ben to Rami. "Huh?" He asks confused.
Rami shrugs. "You haven't eaten that much yet. So either you're not hungry or you're just busy with other things." He says with the most serious face as possible. Although it's pretty hard not to laugh when he sees Joe's cheeks redden.
The ginger quickly takes another bite of his food, not wanting to answer the question.
Ben smiles. "I'm glad you still want to stare at me while I look like a zombie, sweetheart." He giggles before pressing a kiss onto Joe's cheek.

All eyes turn to Ben when the boy gets a message from someone.
Joe raises his eyebrow when he sees Ben's eyes widen after checking his phone. The colour disappears off the boy's face in a quick tempo.
"Are you alright, mate?" Gwil asks.
Ben looks up from his phone and quickly shows his three friends the best smile he's got. "Yeah. Brian says he's glad you're okay again." He says to Joe. The message isn't from Brian at all, but he doesn't want the others to know that.
Which is why he is very happy when Rami starts a conversation about something else. 

But when Joe sees that Ben has stopped eating, he knows that something's very wrong. He also knows that Ben isn't going to tell him what's wrong, since he doesn't want to bother him.
The ginger grabs the boy's hand in his own, and gently rubs his thumb over Ben's knuckles. "You're sure you're okay honey?" He whispers.
Ben hesitates for a moment, but then smiles at his boyfriend. "Yeah, of course. I just need to use the restroom." The blond gives Joe a quick kiss on the cheek before leaving the room.
Joe actually wants to follow the boy, since he's positive that something's wrong. But he knows that he isn't allowed to get out of bed, plus he sees the nurse approaching to draw some blood. "Gwil could you maybe check if he's okay?" He asks his friend.
The tall boy immediately nods and walks after Ben.

A quite short chapter today, but things will get better. Word count wise, don't think you've had all the drama hehe
