'Okay!' Annabeth says as were all gathered around Thalia's tree, 'Nico's message said he'd be arriving at the doors by tonight. So we leave in an hour.'
'He also said,' Percy continues, 'that without his dad in the underworld, things are likely to have gotten a little...crazy.'
'Crazy how?' Leo asks.
'Crazy as in all the things Hades controlled aren't under his control anymore. They've been serving him for years and this is the first time they don't have someone in control of them.' Percy explains, 'so things could get messy fast.'
'We're splitting into teams.' Annabeth says, to my surprise, 'our aim is to get Nico and Reyna, and I guess Hades, out of the doors of death. We'll have more luck getting there if we split into two.'
'What are the teams?' Piper asks.
'The main split is Bianca and Hazel apart, and Will and I. That way each team has a Hades kid and a medic on their side. Jason and Percy are splitting, cause they're the best in combat. And then Piper and Leo. That's teams of four.'
'Annabeth and I stay together.' Percy says, and no one objects. It goes without saying, 'and Jason and Piper.'
'So that means it's me, Percy, Leo in one team, Will, Jason, Piper in the other. Hazel and Bianca, you guys got a preference?' Annabeth asks.
'Flip a coin?' Bianca suggests.
'Works for me.' Hazel agrees.
'Alright, Bianca, if it's heads you're with us, tails you're with them.' Annabeth says as she flips a coin in the air.
