WILL
Jason, Piper take on the army that's been following us, as Bianca rushes to help Leo and Hazel. I move over to Reyna and Nico. He doesn't move. Barely breathes. He's as weak as he's ever been.
Percy lays Annabeth beside me, he looks frantic and worried.
'She got hit in the head. She's been out for half the time we've been down here.' He explains. He hovers beside her, unwilling to leave yet knowing he's needed in the fight.
'I'll look after her.' I say, 'go.' He nods, and runs to join the fight.
'The door...' Reyna says, tugging on Hades's sleeve, 'you need to close it.'
He doesn't register her, and I zone out of their conversation before I hear the rest.
On one side I have Nico, and on the other I have Annabeth. Both unconscious.
First move. I have to wake them up. The longer they're unconscious the more likely it is that they don't wake up at all.
I take my travel medic kit out, and take the ginger remedy out, put it under each of their noses. Annabeth starts coughing after a moment, and Nico twitches his nose.
I open Annabeth's eyes and run a light over them to see how she responds. It's worrying, but not life threatening.
When I go to open Nico's eyes, he blinks before I can. He sees me.
'Nico.' I say, quietly. I can't even hear myself over the noise of the fight.
'Will.' He says, and reaches up for my hand. He takes it, just as his eyes widen. He pulls me down and sits up. When I turn, I see him trying to hold back a sword from being plunged into his stomach - a sword which was aimed at me.
I take my dagger out and force it into the attackers stomach. Over and over, until he falls to the floor and disappears to Purgatory again.
'Dagger's...coming in...handy.' Nico says, struggling to speak at all.
'Lean back, don't speak, drink water.' I say, passing him my bottle. He takes little sips, but ends up in a coughing fit.
'Easy.' I say, 'take it slow.'
He manages to swallow some this time.
'Is she okay?' He asks looking to Annabeth.
'She'll be okay.' I say.
'I need...' he trails off. He turns suddenly to one side and throws up all the water he just had. I can see him shaking, and when I go to check his temperature, my hand goes straight through. Like it did say back when I first met him. When he so almost died.
