JASON
I walk alone today. It felt right. Something bought me to the camp. Camp Half Blood. I remember it vividly. The grounds are empty though.
The campfire is lit, the same as it was the first day I came. The day Piper was claimed by her mother. I remember how much she hated the dress she was forced into, the makeup and hair.
Piper wasn't the only one I'd loved in all three of my lives, but she was the one I kept coming back to. Yeah, I could relive my memories as often as I'd like, but I'd love to hear her voice again. Hear her say something new-
'Jason?'
I freeze, closes my eyes, comes back to myself. It's Piper. I turn to her, almost scared to.
'Oh my God, Jason.' She says, and throws herself into my arms. It's all I can do to hold her, not let her go.
'How are you...where...are you...?' I look at her, putting her down, but still holding her.
'No.' She says, quickly, 'I'm not dead. We're here to get you.'
'We?' I say, and look behind her. I was so focused on Piper that I hadn't seen Nico. He stands, staring at me, wide eyed and still.
'Hi.' He says.
Although reluctant to let go of Piper, I can't help myself from running over to him and picking him up too. I hug him so tightly, I'm scared he might complain - but he hugs me just as tight.
'I don't understand how you're here.' I say, turning to piper again, and placing my hand on her cheek, 'if you're not dead, then how?'
'I've got my tricks.' Nico says.
'You can come back.' Piper says, 'you can leave with us.'
'How? How is that possible?' I ask.
'The doors of death are open again. My dad's missing.' Nico says, 'death is negotiable again.'
'But what'll happen to me? Surely-' I start, but Nico cuts me off.
'You'll get a second chance at your life; at your second life - if that's the one you choose. And when you die again, you'll come back here.' Nico says, 'it's your choice. If you want to stay here, or come back with us.'
Piper looks up at me. She's desperate, I can tell. I have everything here. I have absolutely everything I could ever want or need. Everything except her.
'I'll come.' I say.
