We arrived at the base, and Washington went directly to Doc and asked, "Alright, Doc, I wanna ask you a few questions." So much for explaining the mission.
"Where'd the red guys go?" Doc asks. "Did they get away?"
"Quiet." Washington orders. "I'm asking you the questions. You're not asking me."
"What kinda questions?"
"Hey, I just said no questions."
"Can I ask questions later?"
"Doc!"
"What? Oh, that's a question, sorry. Go ahead."
I silently laughed at Doc's stupidity. I feel this trooper isn't an actual doctor and probably is the oddball since the red group of soldiers left him behind.
Washington turns to the Meta. "You know what, get him out of there. I can't talk to him like this." He orders.
The Meta approaches Doc and grabs hold of Doc's arms.
"What're you-" Doc starts before yelping in pain as the Meta tugs at Doc to get him loose but fails. "Stop it," Doc complains.
The Meta grunts at Washington, saying that Doc was fully stuck in the wall.
"What? Well, try pulling harder then." Washington suggests.
"Be gentle..." Doc says before yelping in pain again. "Be gentle!"
"You know he won't be able to get Doc out by pulling at his arms, right?" I told Washington. He stops for a moment, thinking about what I said before telling the struggling Meta, "Grab lower, near the center of gravity."
"He's got cold hands," Doc complains. The Meta pulls back as if he was offended at that comment before trying to pull at Doc again.
"How exactly can you tell that he has cold hands? We're all wearing armor that regulates a normal body temperature." I ask Washington. I hear a sigh of disappointment, and then Washington suggests to the Meta to pull at Doc's codpiece. I laugh while the Meta gives an obvious look and sound of disapproval at such an outrageous suggestion.
"Oh, we're all adults here," Washington says before looking at me. "Do you wanna give it a go?"
"If you're giving me a choice in the matter: no... I don't think I will." I replied, making Washington rolls his eyes at my response. In my defense, I'm pretty sure the Meta has more strength than I do, so I would be wasting time attempting it myself.
The Meta growls, asking if Washington would like to take a crack at it, to which Washington responds with, "No, I don't wanna try."
"Don't repress your feelings," Doc says from the wall to Washington. Washington starts complaining as the Meta makes his way to the center gravity lift and exits the base. "I can't interrogate him like this. It's ridiculous. I can't believe I have to deal with this." He walks to the edge of the base and yells to the Meta. "What are we gonna do!?"
A few seconds later, a tow hook from a warthog crashes onto the base's floor. I pick it up and ask Washington, "He wants us to hook Doc up to this and hopefully pull him out?"
"Hmm, that might work." Washington takes the hook from my hand and hooks it up to Doc's codpiece. Doc looks at the hook in disapproval. "Um, are you sure this is a good idea!? Uouhouh."
Washington steps back to where I am and yells. "Alright, give it a crank."
The cable straightens as the Meta activates the crank. Doc yelps as the cable pull on his body, but not enough to pull him out. "More power, come on, give it some gas," Washington says. The Meta applies more gas to the crank, pulling on Doc's body. "Almost there, just a little more..."
