Summary : Two friends, Scarlett and Alex, have gained feelings for one another having grown with each other since birth. Alex invites Scarlett over for a swim and they realise that maybe giving in to their feelings for one another isn't so bad after all.

A/N : Scarlett and Alex are both 16 and they have been friends since birth because their families are close. Alex has an older brother, Grayson who is 18 and a younger sister, Celeste, who is 9. Grayson has a boyfriend, Mateo, who is also 18 and they have been together for quite some time. Also, when I wrote this. I envisioned for Tom Holland to portray Alex Thompson...

The door unlocks and the group enters Alex's house which is simple but sophisticated. He lives in a pool house. They settle down and put their bags in the designated rooms. Celeste comes out of her room and greets both Grayson, Alex and Scarlett.

"Hey Al, we're gonna head to the pool first and set up the barbecue alright?" Grayson says to Alex with Alex replying with the nod of his head.

"Okay, cool. Let's go babe", Grayson tells Mason.

Alex turns his focus back to Scarlett only to see both her and his little sister conversing between themselves. Alex smiles to himself after seeing how happy Scarlett looked.

"Well I guess we better get changing if we don't wanna make Gray and Mat wait for us", Scarlett tells Alex after turning her attention back to him.

"I'll see you next time, my little celestial", Scarlett tells Celeste before heading off to Alex's room.

Alex shuts the door behind him before telling Scarlett, "You can sit on the bed if you'd like. I'll just grab my trunks and then I'll let you change in here."

He then opens his drawer to pull out his swimming trunks before leaving the room to give Scarlett the privacy she needed. When Alex, Scarlett was admiring his room because of how spacious it was. It almost looked like the size of her parents' bedroom but bigger because it didn't have a toilet in it.

She quickly changed out of the clothes that she's wearing now and puts on her bathing suit. She comes out of the room to find Alex about to knock on it. They both laugh at one another for how silly they both looked.

Alex breaks the tension between them by saying, "Let's head to the pool now."

As they were heading to the pool, Grayson shouts, "You guys are finally here! I was wondering what happened to you two lovebirds."

Alex then replies saying, "I taught I told you not to call us that. It's not like anything is happening between us..."

"Yeah not yet", Scarlett replies before realising the look of disappointment on Alex's face as she goes to say, "Hey, come on. You know I didn't mean that. It was just a joke. Come on, I was just playing along to your brother's joke."

Alex walks away while Scarlett looks at both Grayson and Mateo with the 'what should I do now' look. They both directed her towards Alex with their eyes and she knew that meant that she had to go after him.
