Summary : Two friends, Scarlett and Alex, have gained feelings for one another having grown with each other since birth. Alex invites Scarlett over for a swim and they realise that maybe giving in to their feelings for one another isn't so bad after all.

Scarlett and Alex were watching Friends on Netflix after finishing their slice of Pizzas each when they both heard honking from outside their house.
Grayson came running and shouted, "I'll get it!!" As he opened the door, Mrs Beckett was seen to be walking towards the house.
"Hey Avery! It's for you", Grayson addressed people by their middle names because some dislike theirs however in Scarlett's case, she has always liked her middle name and so it has grown into a habit of just calling her Avery.
Scarlett took a wet wipe and cleaned her fingers before she got off the couch and dashed to the front door.
"Hey mum!! How's work?" Scarlett greeted Mrs Beckett with a hug.
"It went well surprisingly... Hi boys!" Mrs Beckett replied to Scarlett's question before greeting the boys with a hug as well. "Where's Celeste?"
"I'm here!!" Celeste came running out of her room and into Mrs Beckett arms where she lifted her up in the air. Mrs Beckett has treated Mrs Thompson's kids like her own as well. She was always like a second mother figure to them.
"Scarlett, you ready to go?" Mrs Beckett asks Scarlett.
"Yeah sure just let me grab my things and I'll meet you back in the car." Mrs Beckett nodded before saying bye to her friend's kids.
Scarlett grabbed her bathing suit from the toilet in the guest room and tied it in a plastic bag before going into Alex's room to take her school bag. As she came out of Alex's room, Celeste came running towards her and hugged her goodbye. Scarlett reminded her that she will be coming back tomorrow and so she will get to see her.
As Scarlett walked towards the front door she hugged Grayson goodbye, "Bye Chris."
She called him by his middle name too.
"Goodbye Avery. Remember to fully dry that hair of yours when you reach home or else you're gonna catch a cold when you wake up the next morning."
Last but not least she hugged Alex goodbye and kissed him not long before her mum honked again. "Bye Al", Scarlett said to him.
"Bye Scar", that was the last thing he told her before she ran towards her mum's car and put her stuff in the backseat before getting in the passenger seat.
She fell asleep in the car on the way home before her mum could ask her how her day was like. When they reached home, her mum got out of the car, and carried her to her bed whilst her dad took Scarlett's school bag and put it in her room. Her mum took the plastic bag, untied it and put her bathing suit in the laundry.
Scarlett's mum didn't want to wake her up to dry her hair and so she left her sleeping on her own bed with a semi-partial wet hair. Her mum charged her phone for her and left the room.
However the last time Scarlett didn't full dry her hair, she caught a very bad cold. It was probably why Grayson had reminded her to dry her hair before she went to bed.
Meanwhile over at the Thompson house, Alex was worried that Scarlett hadn't texted him back. He thought that she was angry at him or something when in actual fact, she was just sleeping.
"What if she's mad at me? Like as in what if she didn't like how it all went even though she said that she was comfortable with it?" Alex asked Grayson.
"Wow, so you guys did the dirty huh?" Grayson raised and lowered his brows at Alex while grinning, "Anyways, she's probably just tired. She had a whole day of fun plus school and so you can't blame her if she fell asleep without seeing your text. Although I am gonna get pretty mad if she slept without drying her hair because the last time that happened, we had to bring her porridge and chicken noodle soup."
"Anyways, I'm feeling pretty tired too. I'm gonna head to bed now", Alex told Grayson after he yawned. "Wait, we're not having any guests tomorrow or anytime soon right?"
"Why do you ask Dom?"
"We have the rule of having to change the sheets and all and so... I didn't quite change it yet plus I'm feeling pretty tired..."
"I'll change the sheets and what not for you and you don't have to do anything for me. Go and sleep. Go!" Grayson told Alex while he was looking at Grayson skeptically.
Alex walked to his room and closed his bedroom door behind him as he walked to his bed. He then pulled the covers off the bed as he got onto it and laid down on his pillow. Alex pulled the covers up to his chest as he turned to face the wall with his hand grabbing his pillow.

Before Alex closed his eyes, he thought of Scarlett and how he'll get to call her his girlfriend. He slept peacefully dreaming about his and Scarlett's future together with a family in mind.
