Summary : Chuck Bass has feelings for a girl and pays close attention to her. What happens when she starts to get suspicious of this new found love between them? Will they get together or will their friendship flop?
A/N : Y/N is Nate Archibald's sister so technically she's Y/N Archibald and she's close with the group. She subconsciously has a crush on Chuck and Chuck really loves her. But their not together yet. They're just really good friends as of this chapter.

Blair and Serena decided to host a birthday party for Y/N at Blair's house and Chuck Bass deemed it fitting to ask Y/N as his date.
After Chuck and Y/N arrived, they went to their group of friends.
"I just really wanna say that I appreciate you guys planning all this for me. I was actually just gonna stay home and watch a movie with Chuck, but thank you guys so much", Y/N thanks Serena and Blair with gratitude and hugs.
"Do you want something to drink?" Chuck, out of concern, asks Y/N.
Y/N looks down at Chuck's beverage before looking back up at him , "A glass of champagne would do."
Chuck smirks and hands Y/N his glass of champagne, "Here, I'll get another for myself."
Y/N smiles at Chuck as her heart melts, "Thanks."
As Chuck leaves Y/N and their friends to get himself a glass of champagne, Y/N goes to talk to a familiar face.
"Hey bro", Y/N greets Nate with a hug.
"Hey sis. How's everything going so far with the party? I know that there isn't any cake but that's because Blair insisted on having the best cake from our favourite store, but it's closed."
"Party's great, albeit the fact that there isn't any cake. One less mistake to happen to the expensive dress that I'm wearing. I'm gonna go greet the other guests, alright? I'll be back when I can."
A while later, the DJ plays a slow song. The perfect opportunity for Chuck to ask Y/N to dance.
Chuck walks up to Y/N after finishing his glass of champagne while Serena and Blair were looking happily at them.
Chuck clears his throat as he offered her his hand, "Can I have this dance?"
Y/N smiles and places her hand on top of his as Chuck leads her onto the dance floor. They begin dancing to 'Make You Feel My Love' by Adele, while feeling all kinds of feelings. Chuck who feels love and admiration for Y/N, and Y/N who at the moment feels flustered.
By the end of the song, Y/N told Chuck that she would like to go home as she didn't want to make a fool of herself if she got drunk.
Chuck nodded his head as they wished everyone "Thank you" and "Goodnight".
Chuck took Y/N back to his home as that's where she's been staying since her family's eviction notice.
They both decided to change into more comfortable clothing. Chuck changed in his room while Y/N changed in the bathroom. After Chuck had changed, he threw himself back on his bed and leaned against the headboard looking in the direction of the bathroom with love in his eyes.

Y/N comes out of the bathroom and sees Chuck staring at her with a smile on his face.
"Hey Chuck, can I ask you something?" Y/N asks before sitting at the foot of the bed.
"What is it?"
"Why do you look at me like that?"
"Because I love you very much. Probably more than anybody could love another person", Chuck replies to Y/N's question jokingly and makes Y/N smirk. If only she knew the extent of Chuck's love for her.
"Did you just quote '50 First Dates'?" Y/N asks Chuck as they watched that movie yesterday seeing as she wanted to do so.
"Never speak of it."
Y/N laughs and rolls her eyes at Chuck's response and she walks to off the light. They both head to bed with Chuck lying on the bed and Y/N lying on his chest.
Chuck wishes Y/N as she dozes off, "Happy Birthday Y/N. I know there wasn't any cake but I'm glad I got to spend your birthday with you. Goodnight Y/N."
Chuck kisses Y/N's forehead and they both slept, too tired to acknowledge what had happen. The spark of a new era.
