Summary : Y/N reincarnated as Sam's sister but doesn't know it yet until Steve unlocks her memories. Fortunately, both parts of her wants to help Steve save Bucky no matter the cost.

You were on a mission helping Steve and you knew who you were up against - The Winter Soldier. You prayed to the heavens above that you wouldn't be choked to death by him. You wouldn't allow yourself to die with your last vision being that of his dark, mysterious ocean eyes.

You were on the last hellicarrier planting the chip in so that Agent Hill could override the system and destroy Hydra's plan once and for all. You didn't want to let Captain America down being newly recruited alongside your brother, Sam.

As you were about to insert the chip, you heard the sound of a gunshot. You slumped to the floor and took quick breaths while wincing at the pain. You had been shot by none other than The Winter Soldier. You look down to find the injury and saw blood coming out of your abdomen.

"Shit, Cap. I've been hit!" You winced more as it got harder for you to breathe. You see your vision blurring and your sight decreasing. You couldn't let Steve down. That's what you remembered. You did your best to stand up and insert the last chip.

"Beta locked, Hill", You told Agent Hill.

"Okay y/n, get out of there"

"Will do, Agent..." was the last thing you said before you blacked out.

When you woke, you felt like there was water in your chest. You started to cough and splutter the water out from within you as you gasped and tried to sit up. You looked beside you and saw Steve lying unconsciously. You then looked around to see if there was anyone that you can get help from and saw The Winter Soldier walking away.

"Hey!" you shouted at him while wincing in pain, as you stood up and made your way towards him holding your abdomen.

"Bucky", You blurted out in panic as you remembered what Steve called him.

The Winter Soldier turned around and looked at you as though he had little to no remorse though he felt something within him that made him walk towards you.

You stepped back, not sure of his actions or what he was going to do next but as you were the one to call him, you took a step forward towards him.

"Save him", The Winter Soldier said as he looked at Steve.

He looked back at you with droopy eyes as his gaze hung low. He turned around and walked off to wherever he might find safety as you rushed back to Steve to check if he's breathing. You called the ambulance and you were both admitted into the hospital.

You woke up a few hours later after being given anaesthesia on the ride to the hospital. You looked ahead before looking down at yourself already dressed in a gown covered by blankets to keep warm. You could still feel the pain from the shot earlier caused by The Winter Soldier or Bucky as you recently called him.

"On your left", you heard Steve speak as you turned to your right to see him and your brother, Sam.

"S-Sam", Your voiced croaked out as you were left thirsty having not spoken or drank anything.
