Claire:

"I'm pretty sure I can get home without an escort, Derek." After we all left the bank he trailed me all the way till I got to my apartment complex in his truck.

I know that he's peeved off, trust me you don't have to be a werewolf to notice it. And not to mention emotionally drained from not only finding out that his sister is alive but also from having to bury Erica.

But I think he really shouldn't be here when he needs to be tracking after his sister and Boyd with Scott.

He slams his car door and storms over to me. "What the hell, Claire. You go behind my back and go to the bank. And what, was all that talk about wanting to keep Isaac safe all crap or did you so blatantly forgot that Allison almost killed him?"

"No I didn't forget what she did to him. But I think it would be hypocritical of me to judge her don't you think?" I stare intently down at my mud covered shoes and purse my lips.

He lets out a deep sigh but I just shake my head. A beeping noise comes out of my bag. "Well I need to leave since I'm being paged down at the hospital." I don't bother looking up at him and instead just go back inside my car before driving away.

My pager beeps again, but I wait till I park my car in the hospital parking lot to even bother checking it. I unbuckle myself and lean over to the passenger side to get my bag. A loud knock on my window startles me and I quickly whip around in my seat with wide eyes.

"What the heck?! You flipin scared me." I open the door and Allison steps back, allowing me to exit my car. "Wait what are you even doing here? Oh my god are you hurt."

She shakes her head with a smile on her face. "No. I knew this is the only place that you could leave to without Derek following to see what you do." The brunette explains.

I make a confused face until it hits me. Quickly looking through my bag I pull out my pager and see that even though it beeped there's no message on it. "You went through all this trouble just to get me involved again. Why?"

"Because I know that you want to help and you hate the fact that everyone thinks you're too weak to be able to do anything without getting hurt." She remarks in a tone that suggests she's felt that way before.

Despite the trouble this could lead to I can't help but graciously smile at her.

"It means alot that you don't think less from me because of my extreme lack of combat skills." I thank her, but pause and think it over. "And I guess as long as no one finds out then I'm more then happy to help you in anyway that I can."

She nods her head once and smiles. "Okay first things first we're taking my car and we need to head out into the woods. So it's a good thing you have flat shoes." Allison points out and leads the way to her car.

After a short drive she parks off to the side of the preserve to where hopefully no one will see the car. We walk for a while before she stops and starts pulling out a knife. She places it to the palm of her hand, and I quickly intervene.

"If you're going to draw blood you shouldn't do it at a places that has so many nerves." I rub at my arm at how doctor mode I just went on. "Prick your fingers instead."

She sets up that trap, explaining to me how the werewolves should be able to smell it and follow the blood.

"Isaac's basically like a little brother to me, did you know that?" She looks taken aback by my words, knowing that she hasn't been the kindest to him. I smile, reassuring her that I'm not going to do anything despite knowing that she literally stabbed him in the back.
