Claire:

"Yeah that's healing, visibly. They can't see this." My mom's worried tone only makes me worry more. She tapes the gauze on Isaac's abdomen back down and turns her head towards me.

I nod, taking a quick second to imagine what would happen. "They'd probably run around looking like confused chickens if they saw it."

"Alright well then just cover it up." Isaac suggests as he looks towards the door, making sure nobody is walking by. I move from my spot and shut the door of the room.

"I don't think just covering it back up is going to help much. Seeing as how, uh, you have a surgery scheduled for today." I inform him whilst running a hand down my face.

"Okay, can either of you do something?" Isaac questions. It's not that hard to notice his nerves growing from the predicament.

"Maybe Claire can move back the surgery? But there's a sheriff's deputy that's stationed right outside the door, so I don't think that walking you out is an option." My mom says.

"Have you tried calling Derek?" Isaac questions with a hopeful look as he adjusts himself on the bed.

"Yes, but he left out of town for something last night. And I've only been able to get to his voice-mail the whole morning." I glance at my phone in hopes that he's called or at least texted back.

Dropping the phone back in my pocket, I shake my head in response. Honestly how hard is it to pick up a phone? Definitely not harder then all those early morning runs that's for sure.

"Do you have any other emergency werewolf contacts?" My mom questions, not knowing who else we can dial up to help.

"Yeah." He pauses with a hesitant look on his face. "Call Scott."

She nods before moving to the corner of the room and pulling out her phone.

"Alright well, I'll go see what I can do about your surgery." I'm not sure I'll be able to do much but since this is the only plan we've got. Then I guess I'll just think of someway to push it back.

I step out of the room and see the officer and a few others outside the room. "Hey, hey, Claire."

So close yet so far. I stop and turn towards where Mr. Stilinski is calling me over. "Hey, Sheriff. I'd love to stay and talk but I'm super busy."

"Can you help me out here?" He asks despite my previous statement. Who am I kidding I can't just turn my back on him when he's obviously in a boat load of problems.

I nod my head, signaling for him to continue. "Since the amnesiac in 215 can't tell us anything, I need the girl with the modified military stun gun in 216 to answer a few questions." He gestures into the room behind him. I can't help but scratch my head, not knowing how to explain that this is the one thing I can't do.

"She's heavily sedated, so I don't think that's going to happen anytime soon." I respond, making him let out a tired breath.

"Ah, great. Um, well, when she um..un-sedates, will you give me a call? Cause she's got about 10 grand worth of property damage to answer for. And I don't want her just walking out of here."

"Sure." I compromise. "And all I ask my mom to call if I'm not around when 216 wakes up." He gives me a thankful smile and I fast walk down the hall to try and stop the surgery.

After some sneaking around, and someone accidentally leaving themselves logged in, I manage to move the surgery back a few hours. Unfortunately I can't just cancel it without the surgeon's permission.

"Any word for Scott yet?" I lean up against the counter of the front desk in order to keep the conversation just between my mom and I.

"Ya I called the school and he should be here soon. In fact I'll just go wait for him outside to fill him in quicker." She moves from behind the desk to head towards the entrance.
