It Was Just Dancing
The music was extremely loud and I felt my eardrums would burst any second. Harley was the first to disappear. We couldn't even get through the door before she was nowhere in sight. I don't blame her though. She needs someone to help her forget about what she went through.
Let her be free.
Jessica, Michelle, and I went towards the kitchen for something to drink. I grabbed some cups and Michelle grabbed a bottle of some kind of alcohol and held it up for approval. Jessica shook her head quickly.
"I don't drink," Jessica said. Michelle groaned, looking at me.
"You know I don't drink," I mumbled, rolling my eyes at her. She shrugged, taking a cup from me and pouring her own.
"You guys aren't going to be any fun if you're not going to drink," Michelle groaned, swaying her hips to the music. This is going to be a long night with this chick. I looked at Jessica and shrugged.
"I'm still not drinking," I replied.
She nodded in agreement. "You read my mind," she laughed, bumping her hip into mine. I smiled, getting us some water and wrapping my arm around her shoulders laughing at her. "Well, at least I know you won't ditch me," she smiled.
"Of course not, we've got to stick together on this. This party is too wild for us to go at it alone."
"Well, while you two stand there like lost puppies I'm going to go dance. Come dance with me, you losers!" Michelle called before disappearing out of the kitchen. I looked at Jessica and shrugged, grabbing her hand and pulling her into the living room where my best friend went.
It took us a minute to find her. She was in the middle of the living room, dancing by herself, looking like she was having fun. This chick is her own party, really. I pulled Jessica over and we began to dance with Michelle.
I swallowed the last bit of water, handing some random person my cup. Surprisingly, they took it without a question. I ignored it and grabbed my girls, dancing around with them. My hips was swaying with the music.
"There you go, babe!" Michelle cheered, showing Jessica how to dance. Jessica looked at me and I just smiled, urging her to go for it. She returned the smile and continued to dance around the place with my best friend without a care in the world.
I just closed my eyes, spinning around and humming to Where Are U Now. I actually love the song and I don't mind dancing on my own. As long as my friends are enjoying themselves, I don't mind.
"I've been looking for you," Brian smiled, walking up to me.
"Hey!" I cheered, giving him a hug. He laughed, hugging me back. "I've been dancing here all by myself. This party is awesome!" I yelled over the music.
"Well, how about you dance with me?" he asked. I nodded just as the song changed.
"I'm impressed, newbie. This is a nice party you threw here," I said.
"And it took me the longest to find the one person I've been waiting to see all night."
"Well, now that you've found me, impress me with those dance moves!"
I laughed, watching the idiot dance like he had no sense. Come to think of it, he just might not have any sense. I laughed at my own thoughts, dancing with him. He grabbed my hair and flipped it to the other side, laughing as it fell in my face.
Rolling my eyes, I bent over then flipped my hair out of my face. He winked at me, grabbing my hand and twirling me around. It took three twirls for me to get dizzy and hold my hand out, stopping him. He chuckled, grabbing my waist, making me sway with him.
