Clumsy Little You

I watched as Louis approached my dad slowly. If looks could kill, I don't know who would die first. Louis looked at me as I rushed to button my pants up.

Once Louis was a few feet away from my dad he spoke low and dangerously.

My dad didn't take proximity to his liking and began to grow rather flustered. Knowing my dad very well, I knew it would take all of two seconds. And it did.

He lunged for Louis and at an unrecognized speed, Louis' hand was wrapped around my dad's throat, crushing his wind pipe. I sat here, gawking at the sight in front of me.

"You're going to let Kamber stay the night at my place for a few days and you won't call the police not once."

The softness of Louis' voice is what threw me off completely. He sounded almost angelic. If that's even possible for Louis. And the crazy part is, my dad nodded in a agreement.

"Now get out," Louis nodded towards the door. I watched as my dad left without another word or glance in my direction. Louis looked down at me as I was fixing my shirt. "Are you okay?" he questioned as I tore from his gaze. I didn't respond. I couldn't. I was too embarrassed.

This was the second time I've been caught in this predicament. And Louis just so happened to be a witness. Just my luck.

"Come on," he whispered, helping me to my feet.

"You're not going to laugh at me?" I asked. It was the same thing I asked Harry. Mainly because they both hate me and it just seems like something they would do. But instead, he zipped my bag and grabbed it off of my bed, motioning for me to follow.

On the way down he said that Justin was already in the car, waiting for us. We walked straight past my parents, my mother still demanding to know why we were leaving. My dad, on the other hand, looked everywhere but at us.

Time to go. Thank God.

When we got in the car we sat there, saying nothing. I turned to see Justin clutching his Nemo, fast asleep in the backseat. My heart immediately warming at the sight.

Louis started the car and we were on our way back to Harry and Louis' place. On the trip back I couldn't help but think about how he had got my dad to agree to let me stay. I wanted to ask him, but maybe that isn't the smartest thing at the moment.

Although, one thing that I just couldn't wrap my mind around was the fact that he had caught me and my own dad.

I gently bit down on my bottom lip, pressing my head against the window. It wasn't a long ride, but it always felt long when it was quiet. During the ride, I kept sneaking peeks at Louis. He was, no doubt, very good looking. Sometimes a guy's attitude can make him seem like the ugliest person ever.

And on the inside of that devilishly handsome looking boy, Louis was hideous.

It wasn't too long before we pulled up in the driveway. I grabbed my baby brother and brought him inside to the bed. Louis followed behind me with our bags. I lied Justin down and turned to Louis as he was leaving.

"Louis," I called, causing him to stop in his tracks. "I'm more than willing to stay in a different room if you would like that."
Right now, I'm just trying to make it by. And being on Louis' bad side isn't the way to survive in this house. I need to be as cordial as possible and just stay out of his way.

He didn't say anything. Instead, he just walked out of the room without a second glance. No matter what, he will never like me.

I sat on the edge of my bed, looking at my brother, praying that I didn't make a mistake coming here. I really hope I didn't.
