Together

I slowly sat up, feeling a bit tired and overwhelmed. Looking to my right, I saw that Justin wasn't in his bed. Now why is that not surprising? The boys just snatch him up and go. I'm used to this by now, but a month ago I would have freaked, seeing that my little brother wasn't in his bed. But I know the boys love him and take good care of him.

Luckily today is Saturday, so I don't have to worry about going to school today and being bothered by my teachers and whatnot. I found my phone on the table beside my bed and grabbed it, unlocking it, and looking at the screen.

At least ten messages popped up. Some from Michelle, Jessica, Harley, and one from Liam. I checked Liam's first. It was just him telling me the date was going well and they were going for a walk to work off the food. Jessica was always serious about keeping her body in check. I, personally, don't care.

Harley was demanding to know how the date was going. Jessica texted me after her date, telling me everything that had happened. Then there was messages from Michelle.

From Best Friend:
Kamber, darling you haven't talked to me in days! Don't forget about me!

From Best Friend:
How was the day out with your friends? Details please?

From Best Friend:
Okay, I'm becoming a bit worried, Kamber call or message me.

From Best Friend:
Fine. You're probably busy anyway. Different time zones, I forget.

I started to feel bad after the last message. I hope she doesn't think I'm forgetting about her or anything. I really did forget to message her after I left the restaurant yesterday. She probably feels left out. I texted her, telling her to call me when she was free.

It was unlikely for her not to text back immediately, but it was inevitable. She's probably feeling some type of way and just needs to be left alone for some time. Although, agreeing with myself to just wait on her, I sent her another message saying I was free all day.

Sitting in bed, staring at the wall became boring, but I was feeling incredibly lazy and didn't want to go anywhere. Lazy or not, I decided I would pay my parents a visit today. With me being gone a month and taking my five year old brother with me with no contact afterwards.

Although they probably miss him, I'm not bringing Justin because I know they would force me to leave him there when I try to leave and I'm not leaving that little boy behind. I would be setting myself up if I brought him along with me.

After contemplating my plans today, I went and showered, getting dressed afterwards, and marching downstairs. Everybody was in the living room, watching SpongeBob Squarepants. So mature of them. I'd expect it from Justin, but he's not even paying attention. He's playing with his toy cars with Zayn.

"Hey," I smiled, seeing Liam sitting on the couch. I sat beside him. "How did it go?" I asked casually, pulling my legs up and lying my chin on my knees.

"It was amazing. We had a wonderful time. Some kids were setting off fireworks in the park which made things even better," he said, smiling at me the whole time. I couldn't help, but be happy that he was happy. "Thanks for pushing me to do it."

"Anytime, son. But, on to more important details, did you tell her?" I asked. "About, you know."

"Oh, yeah, I didn't."

"Liam," I said, looking at him shocked. I just thought he would have told her. "Why not?"

"I don't know. The night was going so well and I just didn't think that telling her would keep everything that was happening amazing."
