Goodbyes & Loud Noises

*Ten Years Later*

"I'm going to miss you Luke." My mum cried, tears staining my black tank top as she hugged me tightly as if I was never going to see her again.

"Relax mum, I'm only moving to the other side of town." I chuckled lightly, returning the hug before letting go and bending down to grab some of the boxes that needed to go in Ashton's car.

"I know but it's going to be weird without any of you loud boys here." She sighed, wiping her eyes and picking up the last couple of boxes that scattered the living room floor.

"I'll come and visit you whenever I can mum, I'll miss you just as much." I replied as I struggled to open the door that led us to the long drive.

I could see Ashton waiting patiently for us in his small silver car as we walked towards him. He jumped out when he noticed us and opened the boot as we had no free hands to do so.

"Hi Liz." He smiled widely, his dimples that all the girls swoon over showing.

"Hi Ash, how are you?" She asked, placing the boxes down and turning towards him, crossing her arms over her chest as she carried on the conversation.

I followed her actions with the boxes, slamming the boot shut, before standing and listening to their short conversation occasionally joining in.

"Well I best let you boys head off, we don't want to keep Cal and Mikey waiting."

"Bye Liz." Ashton said, opening the door to the car and stepping inside, leaving me to say my goodbyes.

"Goodbye mum, I'll see you soon." I said to her, embracing her in a tight hug although my tall height was making me tower over her immensely.

"Goodbye Lukey. I love you." She replied, letting go from the warm embrace so I could get in the car.

"Love you too." I said, walking round to the other side of the vehicle and pulling on the handle so the door would open. I jumped inside, waving to mum as she waited beside the car. She waved back before turning and heading towards the house, disappearing as she walked inside.

"You're such a mummy's boy." Ashton laughed, staring up the car.

"Shut up." I groaned, leaning back against the leather seat as he drove down the street towards our new house that was probably already trashed by the two guys that were already there.

-
"Hey guys." I yelled as we stepped inside the medium sized house, the smell of the newly painted walls filling the air.

We placed the boxes we were carrying on the floor before going off to find Michael and Calum. As we suspected they were in the living room playing Fifa. Typical Cal and Michael behaviour.

"We ordered pizza." Michael informed us as he kept his eyes on the screen, focusing on getting the ball past Calum's players and into the goal.

"Of course you did." Ashton giggled from beside me.

"Ashton, dude, you really need to stop giggling." Calum piped in, laughing.

"Yeah you should laugh like ha-ha not He-he. You're supposed to be a man." I said, joining in with the banter.

"Fuck off, I'll giggle if I want to."

"YES FUCKING IN YOUR FUCKING FACE CALUM YOU FUCKING FUCK BOY!" Michael yelled, after scoring yet another goal.

"Jesus Christ Michael, calm your tits." Ashton groaned as he sat beside me on our new black sofa. He grabbed his phone out of his back pocket before scrolling through Twitter lazily.

We spent the next couple of hours playing fifa and eating the large amount of pizza Michael ordered, making no effort to unpack any of our stuff. I hadn't even been upstairs yet.

It was getting late but none of us could be bothered to move. I was slowly drifting to sleep on the sofa when my eyes suddenly widened at a loud bang that came from upstairs. I jolted upright at the sound, looking around to see that the other boys were still fast asleep.

Another loud bang was heard and my heart was pounding against my chest rapidly. I tried to wake Ashton up as he would be the least scared but I couldn't. He wouldn't wake up from his deep slumber. And neither would the other two.

I was alone and I had no idea what was going on upstairs.

More loud bangs vibrated the room and high pitch screams filled the once quiet house. My body trembled and I was breathing heavily. I sat as still as I could on the sofa, listening to all the terrifying sounds coming from above me.

"What the fuck is going on?" I whispered to myself as the whole house started to shake.

"YOU MONSTER!" I heard a girl scream from upstairs. I curled up under the blanket I was holding, still shaking, my heart beating fast.

There was no way in hell I was going upstairs. Not on my own.

The sounds were getting louder and louder as I clamped my sweaty and shaking hands over my ears in attempt to block it out. How could the others sleep through this?

All of a sudden everything came to a stop. The house was no longer shaking. The banging had stopped and no ear piercing screams could be heard.

I sighed in relief, my heart still thudding against my chest a mile a minute. I moved the blanket away from my face slowly, staring out at the dark room in front of me.

I was confused and scared.

Who was up there?
