"Netflix?" I asked Emily once we had finished our pancakes. I stood up, taking both our plates and placing them in the sink to be washed up later.
"Sure." She shrugged, grabbing her phone and getting up out of her seat. I bent down and opened the door of the cupboard that was underneath the sink and grabbed out a bottle of hand sanitiser that smelt of raspberries.
As I shut the cupboard door, I noticed something red at the bottom of it. A stain that looked like it had been there for years.
"Oh for fuck sake." I huffed in annoyance."What?" Emily asked, standing behind me.
"The people who lived here before us must have spilt some ketchup or something and not cleaned it up. How disgusting." I muttered, grabbing an antibacterial wipe to clean it off.
"You and your hygiene," Emily laughed, shaking her head at me, "you probably spend more money on those bottles of germ killers then you do on me. Your girlfriend."
"Not true." I replied. I stood up and squirted some of the sanitiser into my hands, before rubbing them together and letting the sweet scent of raspberries fill my nose and the area around me.
"Is true." She retaliated before walking out of the kitchen and towards the lounge with me following closely behind her.
"Fine them, Em, whatever you want, I'll buy it for you."
"Well there are these really cute shoes I saw the other day that would go really nice with this other jacket I saw." She told me, sitting on the couch and grabbing the remote.
"And they shall be yours as soon as possible." I replied, smiling and sitting down next to her.

My phone buzzed next to Emily when we were halfway through watching Legally Blonde. I really didn't want to watch it but I would do anything to make her happy."Babe, can you look at that for me please?" I asked her, too lazy to do it myself. I didn't mind Emily going through my phone, I had nothing to hide.
She picked up my phone and read it in her head. I expected her to tell me what it said or show me after. But she didn't. She just continued to stare at the screen, a blank expression on her face.
"Emily?" I said, waving my hand in front of her eyes. She blinked a few times before turning her head to look at me.
"Who the fuck is Liana?" She said quite calmly. I thought about all the people I knew or have met and a Liana didn't ring a bell.
"Who? I don't know a Liana. What did the text say?" I asked.
"Don't lie to me Luke."
"I'm not lying. What are you on about Emily? What does the text say?" I asked again, hoping to get an answer this time. She stood up, looking angry.
"The other night was fun, Luke! Round two tonight babe? Love Lap." Emily read in a high pitched girly voice.
"You have pet names for each other? Did she give you a lap dance or something!" She yelled loudly at me.
"What the hell? You're overreacting, Em. It's probably just a wrong number." I replied standing up as well, trying to stay calm.
"It can't be a wrong number when it's saved into your phone and even says your name! You absolute dickhead!"
"Emily! I don't know anyone called Liana! Jesus Christ! I didn't cheat on you and I never will." I shouted back at her, trying to get her to understand that I haven't done anything wrong.
"Oh save it asshole. I have proof right there. So stop fucking lying and admit it." She yelled back, louder.
"I have nothing to admit to Emily!"
"We've been together for what not even a month and you're already cheating! Well fuck you Luke. Fuck you!" She screamed, tears streaming down her face making her makeup smudge.
She turned around, throwing my phone hard at the wall. It smashed into tiny pieces making a mess on the floor.
"Emily! I know you're mad at me, even though I haven't done anything, but you can't just fucking break my phone like that!" I yelled at her, getting even more angry. I clenched my fists tightly, my vein popping out of my neck.
"You have money. Fucking buy a new one! We're done. You're free to go and fuck your whore Liana." She said quieter, before walking out of the house and slamming the door loudly behind her.
I don't know what the fuck just happened and I didn't really know how I felt about it. You're meant to feel sad when you break up with someone right? But why did I feel relieved?
The only thing I felt sad about was the fact that she broke my phone.I sighed, before walking upstairs to my room to lie down as I was feeling a mix of different emotions and they were giving me a headache.
But as I entered my room, I realised I wasn't alone.
