"Luke!" Someone yelled in my ear, waking me up from my deep sleep. I groaned before rolling over and burying myself further into my bed.

"Luke! Wake up." A voice, I had now recognised as Ashton's, yelled again.

"Why?" I asked groggily, annoyance laced in my tone.

"There's someone at the door for you so get your lazy ass out of bed and don't keep them waiting." Ashton replied, before going to walk out of my room.

"Fine." I mumbled, rubbing my tired eyes whilst yawning loudly.

I lazily got out of bed, slipping on a t-shirt over my bare chest before heading downstairs.

I was curious to see who was waiting for me.

It could be my mum, I haven't seen her since we moved in and I miss her. But it couldn't be because she would of called before hand to let us know she was on her way so we had enough time to clean up a bit.

It could be Emily she might want us to get back together. But she wouldn't, she hates my guts right now and she knows that if she shows up I expect her to buy me a new phone.

It could be fans, dropping some gifts round to us but that was impossible. They don't know where we live.

I was overthinking this way too much.

"Oh, uh. Hi." I said, after opening the door to find Liana standing on our doorstep.

"Hi Luke!" She replied happily. "Can I come in for a bit?"

"Um, sure." I replied hesitantly. I was still confused about who she was and why she was here. But now was the perfect time to get some answers.

I stepped out of the way so there was enough room for her to walk inside. She knelt down to untie her shoelaces, before slipping off her worn out converse.

"Oh, you don't need to take your shoes off, it's okay to leave them on." I told her after she had placed her shoes by the door.

"Sorry," she shrugged, "force of habit I guess."

"It's okay," I chuckled lightly before asking her if she wanted a drink or anything from the kitchen. She shook her head before walking straight upstairs and into my room.

Slightly shocked at the fact that she had definitely made herself at home, I followed her up the stairs, closing the door behind me.

"So," I said after a few minutes of sitting in an awkward silence, "how come you came over today?"

"I wanted to look at the cars and the traffic again." She sighed calmly, looking out of the window.

"They're just cars. They're everywhere. Why are you so fascinated by them?"

"Because they are just so interesting to look at. They're all different shapes, sizes and colours and they're all unique in their own way. Just like humans. It's been ten years and cars just show how much things have changed and how quickly they have been improved. The world is changing more and more everyday. It's scary to think about how dependant we are on some things that people didn't even know existed a few years ago. Everything is changing, Luke. Everything has changed and I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing."

"Wow," I breathed, "that was pretty deep." I laughed after she had finished talking.

She just shrugged and we both fell into an uncomfortable silence again. After a few minutes, I cleared my throat and spoke up,
"Liana, when you were talking about the cars you said it's been ten years. Ten years since what?" I asked curiously.

"It doesn't matter, I don't want to talk about it." She replied coldly, but her voice was calm and soothing like usual.

"Why?" I pushed, even more curious now.

"I just don't Luke. It's none of your business." She snapped, staring at me angrily.

"But why? I hardly know anything about you! You just come waltzing around here, like it's still your house and expect me to be cool with it! I don't have a problem with you being here but the least you can do is tell me about yourself!" I said, raising my voice and standing up, towering over her.

"You really wanna know what happened?" She asked me, her voice quiet and calm again. I nodded in response, waiting for her to speak again.

"Ten years ago, I was killed. Murdered. By my boyfriend, by the guy I thought had loved me. Right downstairs in that very kitchen."
