Emily & Phone Calls

"Hey baby." Emily cooed, moving her body closer to mine and attaching her soft lips to my neck. I moved away, suddenly getting annoyed by her presence.

"What's wrong Lukey?" She asked, I rolled my eyes at her childish voice and carried on watching the tv, ignoring the blonde haired girl beside me.

She wasn't exactly my girlfriend but she thought she was. She was a nice girl but damn was she was clingy and annoying sometimes.

I couldn't stop thinking about the strange things that have happened in this house and why I seemed to be the only one to notice them. And I couldn't get those 3 stupid letters out of my head. What did they even mean?

Emily suddenly moved onto my lap, her arms wrapping around my neck, her fingers fiddling with the hair on the back of my neck.

"Luke, what's wrong?" She pouted staring at me intensely. I shrugged, not really sure why I was acting like this either. I just felt confused, and slightly scared. My thoughts were all jumbled and I couldn't think straight.

"I'm going home then." She frowned, getting off my lap and walking towards the door of our new house.

"Bye." I mumbled, not really caring that she was probably pissed at me. I'd talk to her later.

I lay down on the sofa, my feet dangling off the edge as I was too tall to fit properly. I shut my eyes tightly, hoping to fall asleep or something.

I felt weird, it was hard to explain. Something wasn't right but I didn't know what. Maybe it was just because I wasn't living with my mum anymore. Was I meant to feel like this?

I feel stressed, anxious and paranoid. All these different emotions were wearing me out and I hate it.

I just lay there for God knows how long, eyes closed, arms by my side and slowly I managed to drift to sleep on the uncomfortable sofa.

--

A loud bang woke me up. I bolted upright, rubbing my tired eyes before opening them properly to see Ashton and Michael on the floor trying to put something together, but struggling.

I sighed in relief, after realising that the loud noise wasn't a repeat of what happened two nights ago.

"What are you guys doing?" I asked from behind them.

"Oh shit." Ashton half yelled, dropping a screwdriver from his hands on to the soft carpet.

"Don't fucking do that Luke."

"Sorry." I chuckled lightly. "But what are you doing?"

"We're trying to build a chair, what does it look like we're doing?" Michael muttered, rolling his eyes at me as he looked at the instructions that were placed in his hands.

"Do you need some help?" I asked unenthusiastically. They had just woke me up and I wasn't in the mood to help them.

"No, we can do it." Ashton replied, clearly annoyed at the fact that they couldn't assemble the chair.

I stood up from the sofa and walked up the stairs to my room. I sat down on my bed and picked up my phone, deciding that I should probably ring Emily and apologise.

After a few rings she picked up, luckily.

"What?" She snapped, not even bothering to say hello. Her voice was cold and it scared me a little bit.

"I just wanted to call and apologise. I didn't mean to make you mad. I just feel out of it at the moment, I'm sorry."

I heard her sighing on the other side of the phone, before she spoke. "It's fine Luke, but seriously what is going on? Ever since you've moved in with the guys you've been acting weird."

"I think this house is haunted." I said, seriously, glancing over to the desk where the scratched up pictures were placed.

"That's ridiculous! There's no such thing as ghosts." Emily laughed loudly. I moved the phone away from my ear until she had calmed down a bit.

"Stop laughing! I'm being serious." I groaned, running my free hand through my hair.

"Why do you think it's haunted?" She asked when she had finally composed herself. It wasn't even that funny to be honest.

I explained to her everything that had happened which caused her to laugh more. I swear she's high or something. I don't know.

"You say you're the only one that's noticed this stuff right?" She asked.

"Yeah."

"Then it's probably the boys just pulling a prank on you to scare you."

"Then why do I feel like someone is in the house?" I thought out loud.

"I don't know, maybe your coming down with something or you just miss Liz. I have to go now, Luke, Sarah's here. Bye." She answered quickly before hanging up and not giving me enough time to say my goodbyes.

True, it could be the boys but they wouldn't be able to pull off something like this. One of them would of told me by now.

Later that night I was lying in bed watching some how I met your mother on the medium sized tv I had bought.

I could feel my eyes start to close from my tiredness so I turned off the tv and got comfortable, my body wrapped up in the warm covers.

I stared at the bedroom door that was half open as sleep began to take over me. Just as my eyes were almost fully closed, I swear I could see a shadow of a girl standing at the top of the stairs.

Maybe, just maybe, this house was haunted after all.

Idek wtf this chapter was but I haven't updated in 2 weeks so you know here's a crap filler.

I've decided in the book the boys are gonna be semi famous. So they're gonna be in the band and stuff but they're not gonna be really really famous like they are now, if you get me and I'm just gonna make up what stuff they do in their career okay? Okay.

Oh and Thankyou for over 300 reads already, it's not a lot but it's still like 100 reads per chapter so yah. Ily

Comment and vote and shit bc it means a lot
