"No..." She breathed.
She was so close. The portal was right in front of her. All she had to do was take only a few more steps and she'd be free!
What had stopped her was a slimey, black appendage that coiled around her wrist. An appendage that was connected to a certain skeleton that she had grown to fear.
She turnes ever so slowly to face the king of darkness and fear himself.
Nightmare.
"(Y/N), (Y/N). I must admit. I am impressed with how far you got. However, did you really think that I'd allow you to escape me?" He said. His voice was deep and it sent chills down her spine. She could feel her heart rise in her throat.
She wasn't blind to the fact Nightmare had an interest in her and to be honest, it scared her. She never knew what he could have had planned for her. But now that She had tried to escape? Her mind wasn't registering the pain her body was in anymore. It was now more preoccupied by the fear of what he'll do to her. To everyone.
She knew Nightmare was cruel. As is everyone in his group. However, Nightmare is the most cruel. And he was creative when it came to punishments. For us servants or for his own team.
She turned her gaze back to where the portal was. It was gone now. The sunshine that she could see was no longer in sight. What was once was a beautiful green field was now that dark gloomy forest of this world.
Nightmare sensed her hopelessness. To him, her negative emotions were delicious. That's why she was so interesting to him. Her emotions, weither it be negative or positive, were delectable. That's why he had the perfect punishment for her in mind.
His blank stare met her fearful look. He guessed he couldnt deny that he liked the color of her eyes. A fascinating shade of (F/C).
Nightmare smiled, amused. Which confused (Y/N).
He chuckled. Then, with her in his grip, turned and headed back towards her prison. She was unaware of Nightmare's wicked intention.

Phew!! I wasn't completely satisfied with how I had this typed origionally, so I went back and changed a few things. I am pleased on how things turned out.
