Chapter 9: The Arrival

<Dave’s POV>

You wake up at 5:15 a.m. from an alarm next to your bed, quickly pull on your pants and a shirt, take your suitcase and rush down the stairs grabbing some food and apple juice from the kitchen on your way out. You won’t be late for the plane. Not today. You get in your bright red car and type the address of the airport in your GPS.

You arrive and walk inside, followed by squeals of few teenage girl. Duh. You look up to look which gate you have to go to. Gate 7. Okay. You go to baggage claim and gave them your luggage, then go to the passport control where the young lady returned your passport with her number in it. You just gave her a weird stare, that she probably didn’t see cause of your shades. Does she even understand that she is most likely few years older then you? Ugh, those straight girls are killing you. You were proceeding to Gate 7, when you had to pass the thing where they check your bags and clothes to make sure you don’t have drugs or weapons. They were making you take of your shades, and after 15 minutes of argument that you have a rare eye disease and you can’t (which wasn’t completely a lie), they scanned you with some small portable scanner and let you go to the waiting room. After 10 minutes, it was time to get in the plane. Finally. You made it.

In 7 hours and 56 minutes you will be in John’s city, and in 17 more standing at his door. In less than a minute after that you will be hugging him. In few more you will have a conversation about your feelings with him. Then… then you’ll see.

You wake up from someone shaking you and soft voice “Sir! Sir!” The woman sitting next to you was showing you that it is time to leave. You smile and thank her. You walk outside, and after picking up your luggage you get in a cab and tell the address to the driver. 17 minutes away, $20. Time was passing slowly, and it was torturing you. Finally low, deep voice said: “We arrived at your destination”, you paid 20 bucks and got off the car with your suitcase.

You slowly approach the door, and about to knock, but realize that there is a better way to do it. You look around and see a flower store right across the street. You quickly get there, and a small bouquet of the beautiful blood red roses caught your eye. You take it, pay 15 dollars and go back to John’s house. You are walking on his driveway, as you take off your phone. You approach the door, and sit down right in front of it in the lotus pose, with flowers in your hand. You open pesterchum, John is online, you are lucky, you open the conversation and start typing.
