Finding your destiny (God given destiny #1)

Prologue

In the beginning there was God. An all powerful being who was all alone. To end his loneliness he made a creation. Archangels, five of them. He gave them a beautiful home called Heaven. He gave them everything they wanted and desired. He created more angels to help his and his archangels their loneliness. They weren't as powerful as archangels but still powerful. Life was perfect. His angels were perfect. But there was one thing they were missing. They had no free will. They could make choices on a regular basis but they each had their own destiny, their own task and if God commanded them to do something they were compelled in doing it no matter if they wanted to or not.

His perfect creation had a flaw so he decided to do better. He began creating Earth, a beautiful green place he filled with threes, plants, flowers, oceans, mountains and last but not least animals. But Earth was such a big place, he knew he could do more. So then he created his greatest perfection. Humans. Beings that could choose their own destiny and that could do whatever they wanted as long as they wanted it.

God was finally content with what he had done but not everybody was. Lucifer, the archangel God favored above all else, watched them for thousands of years and thought them to be a disgrace. A mistake made by God. The once favorite angel was being replaced and he hated it. He hated humans and wanted them all gone.

He asked God to erase his latest creation. Time and time again he begged him but God would not do it. God was proud of mankind and told Lucifer he would never do anything to make them go away. So one day he stood up against God. He had gathered all the angels that agreed with him and brought war upon Heaven. It was a dark day. Angels were killing angels. God's beautiful Heaven was now a warzone. But God and his angels had the numbers, and so they were victorious.

As punishment he banished Lucifer and the angels that sided with him to the deepest pits of the Earth. There was no light, no sun. It was cold and hard and it was perfect as punishment. Lucifer swore he would get revenge on God and the rest of the angels. Revenge on Heaven. With powers he pulled from the cold and dark around him he transformed Lilith, his long time lover, in a different kind of creature. The first demon was born.

Amazed at how powerful Lilith became, he did the same with the other fallen angels. Some, like Lilith, remained looking the same. Others changed into hideous creatures. Beasts and monsters. But there was no one more powerful than Lilith, her power equaled his own. A true queen for Hell.

Lucifer quickly discovered he could not leave Hell, he was bound to it. The other fallen angels did not share that problem so he let them go to Earth and corrupt mankind. They started wars, they killed and feasted. Evil was introduced to mankind.

Banishing Lucifer seemed like a good idea at the time but with that choice came consequences. Because of that choice Earth became a cruel place to live. God tried to guide mankind as best as he could by giving them faith, churches, prophets. A chance to go to Heaven. But no matter what he did, it was never enough for they had free will. They were free to choose between good and evil. But he refused to give up on them. He refused to let Lucifer win and destroy mankind.

One night God had a vision of the future. The answer to his problems. The last battle between good and evil, between Heaven and Hell. Guided by his vision God set things in motion for that day to arrive.
