"Happy birthday, my sweet child." Father Gabriel opens his arms to embrace me in a hug which I gladly take, squeezing him real tight. He may not be my real father but he raised me as if I was his own. Everyday I don't see him, I miss him. He's the closest thing I have to a family. Off course that also means he knows me better than I would like and sees when something is wrong. "What is it, Maria?"

"I had this dream." I begin. "Only I don't think it was a dream. I think I had a vision." He nods at me to continue. We both sit down and I begin my story. "It was... It was the end." I tell him everything. About meeting Killian. Except for the sex, obviously. He never says a word, just nods a few times to let me know he's still with me.

"This Killian, last night was the first time you met him?"

"Yes. I...met him in the club I was in before."

"I see." He instantly knows what I did. I gave him enough trouble back in the day when I was still ignoring my spidey sense. Alcohol. Partying. Drugs. Boys. They helped, for awhile at least. "And you didn't sense anything about him?"

"I did but it was so different from all the other times. I knew he wasn't human but I couldn't figure out what he was. It's hard to explain. I didn't get an entirely bad feeling about him. It was actually kind of warm." I babble. "I don't know, I'm not making any sense."

He chuckles. "No, I get it." He smiles at me. "I have always known you are special. It seems you are not the only one."

"We're nothing alike, father. He's some kind of demon, I just don't know what kind. And we were totally different from each other in that vision."

"Well, from what you've described he seems to be your counterpart. You said you were a beacon of light while he was surrounded in darkness. But a counterpart can also be the same thing. Two sides of one coin or like two magnets."

Two sides of one coin. Oh my God! "One coin. Two sides." Just like that man said. Could it really be? Could we be the same? I thought he was a demon, but what if he's not? Or maybe he is, and I am too?

It's close to midnight when I'm at the local bar nursing a drink while I'm on the hunt. This is my scene. My hunting ground. I first came here to party and drink. Later on I discovered it was the perfect place to hunt monsters. Matt, the bartender has seen a thing or two over the years and he's more then happy to let me do my thing here. He doesn't know what I can do, but he does know I can hold my own. When a vampire begins chatting to me and ordering me drinks, Matt knows by one look from me that he needs to switch to non alcoholic drinks.

The vampire next to me drinks and drinks. Supernatural beings in general can't get drunk very easily but when you keep drinking, eventually you'll get drunk enough. So I wait patiently while he just makes it easier for me. He's not too bad when I study him a bit. Beach blonde hair and blue eyes. It's a shame he turned into this monster. I bet back when he was human all the girls lined up to be with him. He was probably very popular. I wonder what happened that made him into this.

"You want to go outside?" Finally. I tell him to lead the way and follow him through dancing people right to the door. He brings me to an alley right next to the club and backs me up against the wall before he starts kissing me.

I let him. There's nothing wrong with a little pleasure before work. He trails his lips along my jaw to my neck and starts giving me little nips with his teeth. I smile. He's going to bite soon. I put my hands on each side of his face, kiss him really hard for a final time and push him away. Too shocked from my sudden reaction he does nothing to stop my blade coming for his neck. His head rolls a few feet away while his body crumbles before me.
