The sky is a deep colored red. I can't see any sun or moon, so I don't know if it's night or day right now. In front of me is a forest, but it's no ordinary forest. It's dark and full with mist, and I hear haunting cries from deep within. I can't see beyond it, it's so big. And when I look around me, all I see are rocks.
"Come." I look at Killian, he's waiting with his hand stretched out but I don't take it.
"What the fuck, Killian? I told you I didn't want to come here."
"I know. I'm sorry but believe me when I say that everything will be fine. I would never let anything bad happen to you."
Says the guy destined to kill me. "I want you to bring me back. Now."
"And I will. I promise." He comes to me and takes my hands in his hands, looking into my eyes. "I promise I will bring you back but trust me first. Let me show you my world."
I sigh hard. He's making it difficult. I want him to share this with me but it's dangerous. it's reckless. But those eyes are bringing my resolve down. And I love him. If I can have this with him, even for a little while, I want it. "Okay."
He smiles so big, his face instantly turning happy. I take his hand and we turn towards the forrest. It looks scary and dark and sounds creepy as fuck but it truly is a beautiful place really. White flowers are on every tree and the trees somehow seems alive even though they don't start walking like in the Lord of the rings.
I begin to see a stone building the more we near the end of the forrest. It comes more into focus and I can tell it's a dark, big castle with dragon gargoyles standing guard on every tower. "Killian." Where is he taking me?
"Don't worry, we're not going inside. Not if you don't want to. We're just passing , I want to show you something truly amazing."
"You must be Maria." A voice says. I turn my head towards the voice and gasp a little. I instantly know who this is. He's beautiful, and almost the spitting image of his son. But his hair is sleek and stops just above his shoulders. He looks directly at me, smiling dangerous. He takes my hand and kisses it before really looking at me. He narrows his eyes and tilts his head slightly. "You're as beautiful as your mother was, but something tells me you have your father's temper."
"You knew my mother?"
He snaps his fingers and the scenery changes around us. We're in a throne room, inside the castle I presume. At the end is a chair fit for a king. Or the devil. And next to it is another but more feminine one. In what age does he think he is?
"Yes, I knew your mother. Faye was a dear friend of mine, you know. That changed over time, obviously." He goes to sit on his throne. "Your father... we've never really gotten along. He was always jealous of me because I was God his favorite. He never really could handle it and then everything happened. I think it's safe to say he hates my guts." He smiles.
"You know who my father is? Tell me."
"I'm sorry but I can't do that. I need you that stay on the path you are on right now. That could change if I tell you." He penetrates me with his glare. "I don't want you to fight my son, Maria. I've noticed how he is with you. I don't want any of you to die."
"Let me guess. You want me to help Killian break the seals."
"I knew you would be clever. Yes, I want that. Free me and I will tell you who your father is."
How stupid does he think I am ? Free him ? "Free you? So you can destroy Earth and Heaven? I don't think so."
He's really glaring at me now. Guess he thought he could manipulate me. "I will never help you."
