"You're a demon, aren't you?" I blurt out suddenly. We're both still lying in bed, still naked after our second round. He's on his back and I lay on his chest so I can look him in the eyes when I ask him.

"I am. But to be honest, I couldn't tell you what kind. I never knew my real parents and I've never met another demon like me." He's quiet for a minute. "But I don't want to talk about me. What about you? You looked like an angel."

I scoff and roll my eyes. "I'm not an angel."

"That guy from the vision. He looked like you, and I am pretty sure he is an angel. I kind of sense these things, you know."

"Yeah, I know. I sense things too but he had wings, Killian. I don't. Not in the vision. Not now. Not ever. Trust me, I'm not an angel."

He's fallen quiet again. His fingers stroking the scars on my back. "That's because they were taken from you, weren't they?"

"I don't know. I've had these scars my entire life. I was abandoned at the door of a church when I was a day or maybe two days old. A priest found me and took me in. He raised me. While I thought I was monster or something, he thought I was a gift sent from God." I chuckle a little. "He still thinks that, actually."

"Well, I can't help but to agree with him." He shifts on the bed so that I'm on my back and he's hovering over my body. My whole body starts to tingle from having this beautiful specimen above me. "Let me unwrap you again and again." Then he's kissing me and worshipping my body. Several times during the night.

I wake up the following day feeling sore in all the right places. I didn't get much sleep but I'm used to it. Killian kept me up pretty much all night and fucked me seven ways to sunday, not that I minded. I was just as crazy for him as he seemed to be for me. I guess he overworked himself because he doesn't move an inch when I trace his jaw with my fingers. His eyelids flutter but remain closed. He looks so peaceful. His lips are still swollen from our kissing. I bet mine are too since we haven't been sleeping for very long after our fuck marathon.

The sheets don't cover him completely so I can truly admire his perfectly sculpted body. He's got abs to die for. A broad chest with strong arms to match. And most of it is covered in ink. Demonic and angelic beings locked in battle. Words surround him written in Latin. His dick rests against his stomach and even though he's not hard he still is by no means small either.

Not wanting to wake him I quietly get out of bed, put on a robe and go in the bathroom that's attached to the room. After doing my business and washing my hands I feel a sort of shift in the room. Looking in the mirror I see him. The man from the vision.

"You are denying your destiny, Maria."

What? "Who are you?" Am I having a vision right now? "What do you want from me?"

"I want you to save the world. I want you to save Heaven."

I'm afraid to ask but I do anyway. "What am I?"

He narrows his eyes. "You don't know?" I shake my head no. He's quiet for a full minute, I don't think he's going to answer but then he does. "You are an angel." I begin to laugh but stop when I see he is being serious. "You are more than you realize. You are our weapon, Maria. You have to stop him."

"How is this on me? Who do I need to stop? And why would I want to save Heaven when they abandoned me? That is if what you say is even true." Then a thought occurs to me. "Do you know my parents?" His eyes harden and I'm instantly curious. He knows them. "Tell me." I urge him.

"I don't know them, sorry." Lie! Why won't he tell me? Why is he lying?

"Why haven't you killed him yet? You know what he is."
