KACE POV
__________________________

"You can come in you know..." the lady said as she held her new born baby in her arms.

She looked so bright and happy but also exhausted, I guess that's what giving birth does to woman.

"I don't want to be an intruder...... I just wanted to know if you and the baby are alright....." I made know to her as I took careful steps into the room.

"Come." she motioned me to get closer and have a look at the baby.

"Wow......." I whispered to myself, but I know she heard it.

When I looked at the beautiful strong baby boy in-front of me, thoughts of one day having a son of my own flooded my head.

I felt a desire to pick up the child but I knew that it would just be weird.

I was still a stranger that just helped get her to a hospital when she was in-need.

"Do you want to hold him?" she asked casually as if i was an old friend here to visit her.

"You don't have to..... I should get going, I'm pretty sure you have family that are going to want to visit you and your son.... I wouldn't want to interrupt a happy family moment...." I noted.

"Nonsense, the only family that I have is the person that I went to visit at Colombia and I have already called her. I'm pretty sure she wants to say thank you to the person that helped me when she couldn't."

I chuckled, unsure of what to say next.

"By-the-way I never personally thanked you for what you did for me."

"Oh no don't worry about it.... I couldn't just leave you to yourself when you were about to birth a child."

"Here, I'm sure you've held a baby before, right?"

"Um..... I'm not really sure..."

"Just hold him and sit on the chair.." she commanded.

I carefully removed the baby from his mother's hands and cradled him while I sat down.

"He's so beautiful....." I felt so much emotion when I held this precious baby boy. But best moment was the smile the baby gave to me as he was asleep.

Oh how I wished I could go back to the days my mother held me in her arms and watched over me.

"You know in all this commotion I never got to catch your name."

"Well you had better things on your mind...." I said jokingly,"but it's Kace, yours?"

She was about to answer when suddenly we were interrupted by the last person I ever thought I'd see. Adria Laurier.

"Oh my goodness Casey are you alright?" She trembled as she ran to her friend.

"Yeah yeah I'm fine thank that gentleman right there for helping me."

She hadn't yet noticed me, but when she did, her eyes softened, the worry that once filled her gaze was replaced with confusion.
