Benjamin POV
Mission night (present day)
________________________

A loud alarm wakes me up. Although it's fourteen-hundred hours, I had a late night making sure that all the details were planned out for the shot that was literally going to change lives, and put other lives at risk.

Getting out of bed I head into the shower and start to get ready. As I'm getting ready my phone rings.

"Miller." I said into the phone.

"Glad I got the right person." The person tells me on the other line.

"Who is this?"

"Well.... I'm your boss, young one."

"Alright, enough with the fucking games. Who the hell is this?!"

"I would lower your fucking tone if I were you, you could find yourself jobless. But, for your information, my name is Kace Whitlock."

"Whitlock as in..?"

"Yes, yes that Whitlock." Kace says with cockiness present in his voice.

"What do you want Kace?"

"I was looking over at today's planer and I saw something disturbing." He pauses thinking carefully. "I see that Ms. Laurier is going to kill Agapov?"

"Yes, that's correct."

"Well, that's not going to happen!"

"What the hell are you talking about Whitlock! Have you gone insane?"

"No, and we will continue this conversation when you get here. I'll see you in my new office. Wilkins will show you the way. Don't keep me waiting." I don't have time to respond when I hear him cut the call.

I don't know much about Kace Whitlock, but what I do know is that he's a guy that you don't want as an enemy but, the same can be said about Adria, she'll kill whoever gets in the way of her number one life goal. And in this instance Kace is about to die.

There's going to be blood spilled tonight.

But I'll be damned if I let Kace take away something that Adria has wanted and worked hard for.

I don't know how things ended between them but, I do know that it was ugly.

I finish getting dressed and I head to command.

When I walk in I look for Travis. I spot him walking down the corridors typing away on a tablet.

"Wilkins!" I call out to him making him turn to face me.

"Sir, I just wanted to say that I told him that he couldn't do it and that she's going to have his head if he does it but he didn't listen a-" he stops as he takes a peak at the figure behind me.

I turn to see the man himself. Just as I thought even after all these years he looks arrogant reminding me why I never liked him to begin with.
