Y/N's POV
I woke with a start, feeling disoriented at sore. I tried to roll over in my bed, but something stopped me. I looked down and saw the chains binding me, and opened my eyes wider as I took in the warehouse. With a sick feeling in my stomach, I remembered what had happened, the video, calling for help, and Hela. I was definitely in trouble.
Then Hela walked in, and I involuntarily winced, memories flooding back to me. The knife, my screams, everything.
She smirked at my obvious fear, and tutted.
"I'm not going to hurt you again, Y/N." She smiled, "I'm going to leave that to Tony, when he dies for you. And then I'll kill you."
"You're insane." I spat, trying to hide my thoughts, and she laughed.
"I am the goddess of death!" She trilled, twirling around. She stopped, growing serious. "But I lived in Hell for a while until I escaped when you were a child, you know, and gave you your powers.
"Then the Avengers stopped me and put me back. Little Skítkarls. It's Norse." Upon seeing my confused face.
"So, yeah, I was back in Hell, or so they thought." She laughed again, but it was hollow, and sounded more like a cough.
"I hid here, on earth, for 16 years, until I heard that Tony had taken you back in and was training you. Not very well, though, despite the powers I gave you." She looked disappointed, "So I quickly formed a plan, and stole you. Then the video thing happened, yadda yadda yadda, New York is gonna fall, and I win. Yay!"
"What did you say about New York?" I said, alarmed.
"Oh I forgot that bit. A missile is programmed to fly at the city centre in about 5 hours, crushing everyone and everything in it plus a ten mile radius around it."
"What?!"
"Oh yes, I can't wait either. Now, moving on, I'm going to go and get my knife again, and you and I are gonna have some fun."
"But you said-"
"It was a LIE Y/N. Idiot." She screamed, before composing herself and plastering on a smile. "See you soon," she called out, waltzing out of the room.
I had to do something. If only I could get these damn chains off...
I had a sudden memory of a certain training session with the Avengers. It was all about getting captured, and how to escape. I remembered Wanda talking about Holders, special handcuffs that could keep our powers in, unless you really tried to get them off. She had told me exactly what to do, and I followed along, hearing her voice in my head, telling me I could do it.
Suddenly I did hear Wanda's voice. "Y/N? Can you hear me?" Tears leaked out of my eyes.
"Yes," I choked, "How did you-"
"Don't worry about that. We're coming to get you. Everyone is." I froze.
"Y/N, I need you to get out of those Holders before we can help though," she told me, "can you do that?"
I croaked out another yes.
"Now do exactly as I say."I created an illusion of myself sleeping on the chair and wrapped it around myself, so no one would know what I was doing. I focused my mind completely on the task at hand, and felt the power rising in me. I pictured a red ball inside me, growing and growing as I grew stronger, feeling my eyes glowing red, even though I couldn't see them. I smirked. The power kept building up, and I kept my mind on the ball inside, buzzing with power until I felt it was enough. I gave a cry and i thrashed out as the power exploded out of me, blinding me with a white-hot, red light.
I felt the chains crumble, and the Holders too, I jumped up, as Hela came rushing in, wondering what had caused the crash.
"Hey, Hela." I smirked, before sending a blast of red dust her way and blowing her back into the wall, as well as creating a deep crack in the wall.
She got up, brushing off the plaster that had fallen on her, anger flashing in her eyes.
"You little-"
"Language!" Came an all too familiar voice, as the Avengers burst through the wall, sending boxes crashing everywhere.
Iron Man, Black Widow, Captain America, Hawkeye, Thor, Hulk, Spiderman and Scarlet Witch landed in formation on the floor in unison.
Straightaway, Peter shot two webs, catching Hela's hands and binding them behind her back, as Wanda lifted her up. Tony did a 360, looking for me and I wobbled as I floated myself up to his level, and waved, signalling I was okay.
He flew over, and wrapped me in a hug, and I heard him whisper my name, over and over.
"Reunited at last," Hela spat, attempting to kick free of Wanda's dust.
"You ready, kid? Any first mission jitters?"
"All good here." I smiled, and we both flew down to the ground. Immediately, I blasted two guards, sending them flying back, and Dad whooped.
"That's my girl!"
We took at least ten more guys down, the eight of us in a tight circle, while Wanda and Peter manned the air, keeping an eye on any attackers. I sent countless illusions, stopping the guards and blocking their views. Peter hadn't spotted me yet, he was too busy fighting, and so was I.
We continued to fight until almost everyone had been taken down, and I started to look for Peter, until Wanda called out "Y/N! Look out!" As she flew back into the wall.
"Wanda!" I cried, before a hand wrapped around my neck and Hela yanked me backwards, running towards the roof.
"Y/N!" Tony yelled, whilst trying to fight off two more guards. I tried to call back, but Hela's hand blocked my mouth, stifling my screams.
She took me to the roof, her other hand still pinned against my throat, until we were right at the edge.
"Not so strong now, Y/N, are we?"
"That's what you think."
I grabbed her hand and twisted it behind her back, and kicked her hard. She doubled over, then stood up again, an evil look in her eyes. She ran towards me with her arms outstretched, but I jumped out the way as she toppled over, and had a brilliant idea.
I created an illusion of myself, and forced it to copy my every move. Hela looked up, and did a double take at the two of me standing opposite her.
"An illusion, smart. But I'll figure it out. I always do."
She ran towards the illusion, and stretched her hands around its neck, confusion overtaking her as her hands met each other and the illusion disappeared. Damn. This was going to be much harder than I thought.
I created another one that ran towards her from behind, and she whipped round to defend herself. I took the chance to grab her neck and press a dagger into it, but she shoved me, and I stumbled backwards, my strength fading from creating so May illusions and using my powers. Hela grabbed me, twisted my hands behind my back, and led me over to the edge. My stomach lurched as she dangled me over the edge.
"Aw, poor, little, weak Y/N." She walked towards me, blood trickling from her forehead. I didn't want to imagine what my face looked like.
Hela shoved me, pushing me into the little wall that ran around the edge of the roof. "Any last words?"
Just then, a voice I knew and loved rang out from the stairwell.
"Y/N!"
