Six months later...

I sat at my desk, staring at a Chemistry equation and willing it to solve itself.
"You okay?" Peter asked from beside me, taking my hand in his.
"Yeah, just these stupid square numbers," I replied, making him laugh and give my hand a squeeze.
"You'll get through this. You survived Hela." He added dropping his voice, "And if you can do that, the I'm pretty sure you can get through another half hour of Chemistry."
I stifled a laugh. MJ turned around, smirking at us. "Keep it PG, guys," she quipped, making Ned laugh and causing both me and Peter to blush.
"I will literally never get tired of making fun of you guys. Never."
She turned back around, leaving Peter and me in mild hysterics.

Suddenly, a loud crash sounded from the school roof, and flakes of the ceiling started raining down, shouts coming from the corridor. Peter and I looked at each other in alarm. I nodded, and he tapped Ned's shoulder.
"You and MJ will cover for us, right?"
"We always do, man." Ned grinned, "Don't die, or fall off any roofs," he added, with a pointed glance at me., making me laugh.
"Even if I did, this one would catch me," I held up my hand, intertwined with Peter's.
"Enough chit chat and go and save the world again!" MJ huffed. "Come on Ned," She pulled him away.
Ever since I had told them who I really was, they had been super chill about it, only making the occasional joke, and always covering for me and Peter when we needed to get away quickly.
"Ready?" Peter asked.
"Ready."
We made a break for the fire exit, pulling on our suits and masks as we ran. I zipped up my black catsuit, emblazoned with a red W, and slipped on my black mask over my eyes. I looked over at Peter, already in his Spiderman suit, his eyes trailing over mine.
"You look great," he told me, making me giggle.
"The romance can wait till later, Spideyboy. Right now we have a possible enemy to defeat."
He laughed, and took my hand in his.
"Together." He smiled.
"Together."
