Round 8
Finished with his morning run, Anthony walks into the gate of the Joshua property. He loosens his grip on Champ's leash allowing him to run ahead towards the front door. Once Anthony catches up he unlocks the door and enters the home.
Hearing the whistling of a tea kettle and CoComelon in the background he heads for the kitchen. Seeing Abella at the island and Idia in her high chair his eyebrows raise. "Surprised you're still here. You've been leaving early lately, even on weekends."
"Well, I'm staying home today." Anthony pauses from kissing Idia's cheeks multiple times to look at his wife.
"Really?" his voice is filled with surprise. Album mode Abella took some getting used to, but he had no choice. It may be harder on the kids though.
"Yeah, I'll be working from home for the whole week. What's the point of having an in-home recording and dance studio if I don't use it? Idia needs more attention and time to get used to this new routine, so I gave Kemy time off."
"It's that serious?" he asks going to the refrigerator to get water.
"Uh, yeah. Idia's tantrums and screaming fits are very serious, especially at night when everyone's trying to sleep."
"That's normal baby behavior," he shrugs like it's nothing. He knows that mother-child bond with breastfeeding is different though. It's harder to break, so he knows Abella probably feels bad. "What're these?" he asks pointing at a glass dish of food.
"Porridge bars. Her breakfast." Anthony reaches to grab one causing Idia to let out a territorial screech kicking her legs and all.
"I can't have one?" he asks looking at her. With a balled fist she extends the one in her hand only letting him get a bite off the end sticking out through the top. "Thank you, Choc," he laughs thinking how greedy she is.
