Before Finnick and I had went into the games, way before, we had talked about our dream wedding. On the beach, during sunset with my mother walking me down the isle, and my sister standing beside me as a minister officiated us...

But that couldn't happen.

So today, standing beside me would be Johanna and Katniss, the mentor that had trained both Finnick and I, Zephiniah Hill, would be officiating the wedding, Beetee and Peeta would stand beside Finnick.

There was one thing that Finnick and I had decided we needed to do, something we should do.

"Beetee," I lifted my dress, trying not to step on the fabric of the pristine white wedding dress. "Would you do me the honor of walking me down the isle?"

The older mans expression turned to one of shock as he grasped my hand which I had placed on his arm. His mouth hung open as he searched for words. "I- I don't know what to say, Y/n..."

"Beetee, I owe you my life...without you, I wouldn't be here right now. We wouldn't be here right now, Finnick and I, all of us...so, would you please do me the honor of walking me down the isle?" I smiled softly as tears pricked at my eyes, my lips quivering as I fought tears. There was no lie, I owed him more than I could ever repay him.

He nodded smiling slightly as he agreed. He placed his other hand on top of mine. I smiled, hugging him gently. "Thank you, so much."

Beetee walked with me, my dress swishing against the tiled floor. He held his arm our, and I took it, smiling up at him before looking straight ahead, taking in a nervous breath.

As we walked around the corner, I observed the crowd that consisted of everyone in the underground district, including Haymitch, Effie and mine and Finnick's stylists, who both had a hand in making sure we were "alter ready" as Ophelia said.

I walked forward, my feet steadier than I could have hoped. I looked straight ahead, my eyes connecting with Finnick's. He had tears in his eyes, as did I, and I caught a look from Ophelia that dared me to ruin her hard work.

Finnick looked... amazing. He always did, he always looked stunning, Finnick always looked great. But...today, today he looked even more so.

The corners of my lips turned up as I thought about Ophelia's look, and as I thought about my future, the future that I get to have now.

By now, I reached the front. Before Beetee let me go, he pulled me into a hug. I kissed his cheek, thanking him once more before I took Finnick's hands and moved to stand beside him.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, we are gathered here today to witness the joining of Finnick O'dair and Y/n Y/l/n." Our mentor, Zephiniah, spoke, looking at Finnick and then me as he continued on. "I'll make this short, per the request of the bride, considering I apparently can be quite long winded."

The crowd, along with Finnick and I and our wedding party group, broke out in quiet laughter as Zephiniah smiled softly. "You you Finnick O'dair promise to love and cherish Y/n through whatever life throws at the two of you, as long as you both shall live?"

There was no hesitation as Finnick answers. "I do."

"And do you, Y/n, promise to love and cherish Finnick through whatever life throws at the two of you, as long as you both shall live?"

"I do." I smiled at Finnick, my heart fluttering as I look up at him, squeezing his hands gently. He squeezed my hands back, smiling. My head felt light with joy as I bit my lip softly.

"With the power vested in me by the districts, I now pronounce you Mr. and Mrs. Finnick O'dair." He said. "You may now kiss the bride."

Finnick slipped his hands onto my waist, pulling me towards him as he pressed his lips to mine in a deep kiss that sent a chill down my body.

We pulled away, and he intertwined his hand with my as we ran down the corridor, back to Finnick's room, the room we already discussed would be shared by us.

He closed the door, placing his hands on the sides of my face as he pulled me into another kiss. "I love you, Mrs. Finnick O'dair."

"And I love you, Mr. Finnick O'dair."

So I decided that the mentor needed a name lol

And if it isn't obvious, the dress above is what I like, obviously you can imagine close to any dress you but this was just my preference.
