Lorna's first instinct when she woke up was to move. The ghost of that sting in the back of her neck from the tranquilizer they hit her with in the forest, made her groan as she attempted shifting away from the discomfort.
Her mind was a haze of things she didn't remember fully, all side effects of that damned thing they took her out with. And as soon as her scent of touch returned, she noticed a terrifying thing: someone just injected her with something.
The needle was out of her vein when she tried to struggle away only to realize she was fightinf against unmovable restraints. She sought some release from the Force but the energies around her died out to silence.
"What did you do to me?" She muttered.
"Drugged you," the answer came, rrlaxed. "It numbens your senses enough to not be able to use your Jedi tricks, but not enough to not feel pain."
Lorna struggled against the tight restraints, stronger and stronger, shifting in her seat as much as she could. But metal pieces strapped over her wrists, pinning them down. Her ankles were anchored to the the legs of the chair she was in. And there were these plasters with wires attached to them that she kept spotting on herself, from place to place, alarming the living out of her.
"Why?" Without the Force, Lorna found it incredibly hard to focus her mind. Just when she has gotten used with the light and the safety, now she was in the dark, trapped, in a place worse than that prison cell that tormented her in silence for years.
The idea of real torture hasn't scared her before, but just then, she was beginning to understand its real state of horror. And though loyalty and pride were going to keep her from telling them anything, if information was what they were after, she swore herself to the truth and lies were not in her repertoire.
"Orders," one of the three men with her in the room answered.
"Maybe we should just tell her," another shrugged. "We are killing her either way. And without her focus, she can't telepathically send the information to anyone."
"Good point," the third agreed. Without knowing their names, Lorna thought she'd see them as numbers instead, in the order in which they talked: One, Two and Three.
One sighed deeply, "Our orders are to kill you when Luke Skywalker gets here. You're the ultimate bait and distraction so our new leader, Yanua, can continue her plans in silence. It's shooting two down to ships with one blast, really, since pur biggest ally, the King of Vonath, paid good money to have you killed as soon as possible."
She didn't understand yet why they thought she wouldn't be walking out with all that information. But her mind was starting to unblur once she heard the names they spoke of.
Luke... I can't feel Luke anymore, shit, Lorna thought. Yanua is their new leader. Must be the Sith then. She survived. And... King of Vonath? What has my home planet anything to do with this? How are they the Empire's ally when the Empire is to blame for my family's death?
"You're the silent type?" One grabbed her by her chin. "I heard Jedi were short on words, but I didn't think you'd be this boring."
While her eyes stared up defiantly into his, Lorna couldn't help but think, If they kill me when Luke gets here, maybe I can stall. I am good at annoying after all.
So she gathered every once of rebellion in her and spit the man in his eyes. While he staggered back digusted and angered, she smiled in mockery, "I was taking a moment of silence for you all. It takes me a second to process that amount of bullshit at once, you know."
Since none of the three man spoke back to her yet, Lorna considered it a win and continued. "I must say, it was very nice of you to reveal your evil plan to me like that and it's heartwarming to see people believing in themselves so dearly. But you obviously underestimate my power-"
