Chapter 2 ~ One Last Time~

As I feel my eyes flutter shut, I hear loud bang. My instincts make me run to my window and peer out. I see a glimpse of shaggy brunette hair. Luke. WHAT IS HE DOIN HERE?

I knock on my window to get his attention. He instantly runs back with..... a ladder?? I motion him to come into my room, instantly he poofs in. " Why in the world are you walking around with a ladder in your arms?" I question. " Well- you see...... long story.... and like um-" Luke begins to stutter. " Lucas!" I scream at him while chucking a pillow his way.

He shares a small smile before grabbing a piece of paper from his pocket. As he opens it, I see a little frown pasted on his face. " I found this on the ground beside your- house." Luke says with a blank look on his face. I quickly snatch the paper and study it.

' Time in the Trees'

I wrote that in my tree house the night that we preformed 'Edge of Great'. I put a fake date on it just because I didn't want the boys to find it and worry, which clearly failed. I looked back at Luke and smiled. I ran over and threw my arms around his shoulders. I nudged my head into the crook of his neck, making my body swell up with a warm feeling.

He put his tights arms around my waist and pulled me in. We stayed like that for a few minutes before he speaks up. " Jules, are you okay?" He asks in a clear worried tone. What am I supposed to say??

' Oh um yeah, I really really like you and I probably love you but we cannot be together cause your a ghost and stuff. And you probably don't feel the same so yup!'

I am not saying that!!

"Oh, yeah I am okay. I am just a little tired you know?" I say breaking the hug. I tuck the song into my desk drawer before heading back to Luke. " Yeah, I get it. Sorry for dropping the ladder onto the flowers outside...." huh? Oh Lucas.

I let out a small giggle before jumping onto my bed. Why is he so adorable! I mean, I can never have the chance to be with him. Flynn is right, he is a ghost and I need to move on. I think I love Luke. He has done so much for me, but he thinks I am his little sister. Nick's date offer floats around in my mind. Maybe it will help?

" lie- Jules? JULIE!" Luke says shaking me violently. " OH HA! Sorry, I got lost in thought." I say giving him a small smirk.

I am gonna take Nick's offer. I mean, it will probably help me find a alive boy. I am not gonna lie, but I think I will always love Luke, I just need to come into reality and leave my fantasies away.

" Say Luke? You are a boy, so what would you think a boy would like in a girl?" I ask him quietly. "Well, all boys are different. Boys that potentially like you, might think the personality is the best. Others might want you as a makeout partner." He says rolling his eyes at the last part. "What do you think Nick would like?" I ask him with a short grin.

Ah, Julie is so perfect. I came to a conclusion that I am in love with that girl. I really hope she is talking about me. Probably not, I mean I am a ghost, She would never like/love me.

" What do you think Nick would like?" She asks me with a small smile. AICK?? She is really running back to Bick? She can do better! I mean, I never met him but I know he is trouble. "Oh um-" I feel my face fall. I see her deep brown eyes shutter, flashing into a shock of worry. " Luke you okay?" She starts to walk over. " Oh yeah, just lost in thought. I honestly don't know what that Cick guy likes." I say shrugging. She holds me in tight. My eyes start to welp up.

Well, at least she likes someone who is alive. Maybe she wants to move on. She probably never even liked me, considering I act like her older brother, but that is Reg's job. I think it is for the best.

If she is happy, I am happy.

I might need to move on as well, probably not gonna find anyone cause I will fall back into the intense music phase and not focus on anyone or anything. I mean it is best for her.

What was I thinking? She doesn't like me at all. I am just a stupid immature now eighteen years old. I need to grow up and learn to let things go.

I hope her and Eick have a good life for right now.
