Chapter 13 ~The Song~

YUP! I wrote another song for this-

I needed a song that like started like it was for a different person such as Nick, then ease into a song about Julie and Luke.

So, I think it was okay, but I am not 100% good with it. 

Be prepared to see the sucky song!

Also, short chapter!

~3rd person~

Luke and Julie were sitting on the treehouse floor with an old keyboard. "Hm, lets try this." Julie says playing a simple melody. Luke smiled as she played the chords. As he said many times, she is extremely talented.

"I like it!" He said still with a fat grin on his face. "Good!" Julie replied. After a few minutes of coming up with a melody, they were ready with the lyrics. "So, this is a song about a boy you like, right?" Luke says playfully punching Julie in the shoulder. 

Although he seems happy and glad for Julie, he can't help but feel horribly jealous. "Um, yeah I guess." She said rubbing her shoulder. "Cool, well lets get started!" He said whipping out his journal.

(My song i thought of in 10 minutes :)  Ps: I did time it and it took exactly 9 minutes and 48 seconds to write so don't judge!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Luke started writing. Julie found it impressive how easy the words came to him. Probably cause of Kota.

Excuses coming to my head
Wondering off like my thoughts for you
Shoving all my worries aside
Just for us two

She even surprised herself, well cause she was thinking of Luke. 

But life has been bringing me down
Flashing me out of existence
When will I ever tell you
I loved it?

Luke felt him stutter on the second line. Has he just messed it up?

Julie was shocked when she heard that. Maybe he did fee- no he didn't. He would never.

Repeating the steps till we grow old
Making my love for you grow bold
Making our way to the top
Reaching the tip

They took a quick break, thinking of more lyrics and what the previous lyrics meant.

Suddenly, they both sang this, at the same time...

I believe in us

They stared at each other, keeping eye contact as Julie eased into the next set of lyrics

Something about you makes me wanna scream your name
I won't stop till' I get what I want

If only I had the guts too

Her face flushed as she realized what she just sang. She looked away, but felt a hand to her chin, pulling her face back to face Luke.

If only I could be with ya

Luke whispered.

Another pair of lyrics came to them magically

If only I could see us in a new light
If only I could be with you every minute
If only I could kiss you with all my love
If only you knew
How I felt about you. 

They ended off, with their faces inches apart.

"I-i am sorry." Luke said dropping Julie's chin. "Don't be sorry, it's okay." Julie said smiling. She felt her heart flutter with butterflies. "Well, I think it is a pretty decent song to show to the special guy" Luke said with a small giggle. "Um, yea." Julie said looking at her hands. 

"Um, Luke?" She asked. Was she about to do it?

"Yea Jules?" Luke said looking at her, admiring everything about her. 

She was gonna do it.

"Me and my buddy wrote this song about you." She said handing him the song she just wrote with him. Luke felt his whole world light up. So she did feel the same? "I-i should get going, bye Luke." Julie said getting up. 

Luke was still shocked. The girl he was in love with, felt the same? It took him a minute to realize Julie was gone. "W-WAIT!" He yelled. 

She left.
