Chapter 12 ~ The Past~

"Hey Lukesters!" Kristina said walking through the garage holding her guitar and a piece of paper. "Hi cutie." Luke says staring at his journal. "I wrote a song about you." She says plopping down on his couch. "Oh, really?" He says looking up from him book.

"Yeah! I wanna show you!" Kristina props up her guitar and strums simple chords, instantly following these gorgeous lyrics.

She ringed out the last chord. She looked over at Luke with a small smile. "Kris, don't expect me to forgive you with this song. I know what you and Matthew have been doing. I am not stupid." Luke spits out. "Wait, how did you know?" Kristina says in a shocked tone. 

"Lex. Now please leave." He said pointing at the door. "Luke c'mon! You are the one I love! It was a one time thing!" Kristina begged. "Kristina, please leave. You shouldn't even be doing the 'one time thing' if you have a boyfriend." Luke said standing up. "Fine! Don't come running back to me! Matt was better then you anyways!" She said packing up her things.

What in the name of cake is my ex doing here? "Kristina!" I screamed. I didn't need this! I was just in the room with Julie having an awesome time, then I weirdly sensed something and I came down to see what it was. 

"Luke!? Have you been making out with my girlfriend?" Kris screamed. "Wait, your dead?" I ask. I mean, how? "Yes I am, but answer the dang question!" She slapped my face. "Wait, YOUR GIRLFRIEND?" I scream looking at Kota.

"You are doing this to get back at me for Matt!" She slapped me again. "This is why I broke up with you! You are crazy!" I shriek. "WAIT YOU TWO DATED?!? AND HOW? I THOUGHT KRIS CROSSED OVER!!" Kota said running up to all the action. "We did in the 90s. Worst decision of my life." I mutter. 

"I was about too, but then I flashed here for no reason!" Kris explained. "just leave already." I murmur. I wanted to go back to Julie. 

After a little while of explaining, Kris starts to glow. Don't ask me! I don't know what is happening!

Kota and Kris kissed goodbye before she disappeared. I am confused, how in the world did she die? "Welp, I am going back to Julie. Cya!" I say before making my way to the garage door. "Wait Luke!" Kota yelled behind me. 

Oh great.

I turned around. She ran up to me and smiled. "Listen, what I have been doing is horrible. I am so sorry. I just thought I kinda liked you but, I don't think that's the case. Thank you." She smiled.

Wowza. Didn't expect that.

"Uh um, thanks Kota, that means a lot." I say returning the smile. I pull her into a hug before returning to Julie's room.

~Julie~

Luke looked at me with his cute little grin. Oh man, I am falling hard. "So, that song." He says with a sigh. "It was beautiful Jules." He continued. "I mean, it was great! That Mick guy is sure lucky!" He adds another sigh.

Did he forget we 'broke up'?

"What are you doing?" I say giggling. "I am trying to make you give me the deets about that song." He says climbing on to my bed. Should I tell him? "Well Lucas, if you really want to know-" I start, but he cuts me off. "S-sorry Jules, I gotta go do something real quick." And he poofs out. 

Did he know about that song? Oh no, I scared him. Good going Jules! Amazing!

I sigh and grab my phone. I just text my friends and chillax. I start getting bored, even though it is close to 12am. I decide to head out to my treehouse. I just need to take a mind break. Emotions have been controlling me this whole week! 

I decide I wanted to write a song. You guessed it, another love song. 

Before I start, I hear a poof behind me. "Hey Julie! Sorry bout' that. I was looking for you and figured you were gonna be up here. Whatcha doin?" He says smiling. "Oh, I was gonna write a song." I mutter. "Ohh! What about?" He says taking a seat next to me. 

Hmm. Ouuh! I just had an idea. 

"A love song. Wanna help me write it?" I ask him with a smile. I see his shoulders tense up before a releases them again. The corners of his mouth turn down, then back up again. "Yeah sure! Is it for the new guy in your life? You have to tell me all about him!" He says chuckling.

If only I could.
