Before Bucky could say anything else, Steve had entered the room with Sam on his tail. They were planning to meet Sharon and recollect their things, prepared to go and deal with the situation at hand.

However, sitting in a small car with two people who despise each other is chaotic.

"Can you move your seat up?"

"No."

Cassie bit her lip in attempt to stop a laugh from forming, but she couldn't hold back the wide grin that occurred.

"What's so funny?" Bucky asked jokingly, nudging her in the side.

She shook her head in response and let it rest on the window, her gaze drifting and following the large field they were in. Although when an old man strolling through the long grass caught her attention, Cassie didn't hesitate to exit the car. However, the car only had two doors, and to get out required the seat in front to move.

"Sam, open the door. I need to get out."

He looked at her over the seat with furrowed brows.

"Why?"

"Because."

"Because...?"

"You ask too many questions." Cassie responded, not telling the reason to why she wanted to exit the car.

"My answer is no." Sam concluded.

Cassie sighed before undoing her seatbelt.

"Fine. I'll do it myself."

She put a hand on either side of the seats in front of each other and placed one foot in the space at Sam's feet. From there, she brought her other foot to the same space, bringing her hands by her sides. It was only now she realised was effectively straddling the man.

"Listen, if you just wanted to give me a lap dance I would've said yes-"

"Shut up, asshat." Cassie cut him off, opening the door and stepping out.

Bucky clenched his jaw at Sam's statement and after Cassie had left the car, kicked the back of his seat. Sam just smirked to himself before both his and Bucky's eyes watched as Cassie strolled over to where the old man stood in the grass - neither understood what she was doing.

Cassie felt the blades of grass against her ankles, the jeans she was wearing protecting her calves from any nettles. She couldn't help but smile to herself, the soft scent of summer filling her nose. Just as she approached the man, she offered a small smile and tilted her head.

"Hi." She stated calmly, causing him to turn his head to her.

"Hello, it's a lovely day out here." He spoke.

"It is, may I ask what you're doing out here alone?"

The man signed before turning his gaze up at the sun.

"I used to come here with my wife all the time. She loved it more than I did, I hated the outdoors. I saw it as worms and dirt, but she helped me see it for what it was and the beauty it held." He paused before continuing, almost bracing himself, "She passed away last year and I promised her I would still come here, her favourite spot."

Cassie held a lot of sympathy for the man, offering a small smile as she fiddled with the dog tag around her neck.

"I did that for someone once..." she muttered quietly.

"I'm sure they appreciated it. It's one of the best feelings in the world, listening to someone you love talk so passionately about something."
