Chapter 9: Muggle School

'I'm what?' I thought I heard it wrong.

'I said, you're going to live at my place!' Emma shrieked.

'So what... not like a sleepover?'

'No!'

'But - but what about -'

'Mum said everything's sorted! Your manager contacted your parents. She said that she'll do those file thingy-ma-jigs and all that so you don't need to worry about it!'

I opened my mouth, closed it and opened it again: I couldn't explain how I felt.

'That's... That's AMAZING!'

'I KNOW!!'

We shrieked and hugged each other again. Oh this's going to be awesome!

'It's not far from here, or London either.' Emma smiled. 'We moved houses four days ago! And it's sooo good.'

'I can't wait!' I smiled back, still all hyper inside.

'Your manager - I'll just say Naomi - said that she'd moved all your luggage to ours, so you just need to jump in the car with me and mum!'

'Awesome!'

'So let's go!'

She pulled me by the hand out the entrance, waving another goodbye to Chris, Jo and other staffs.

We were about to turn the corner of the building when Dan called us.

'Hey! We didn't get our goodbyes!'

'Oh - right, sorry!' Emma laughed.

The three boys walked over and gave us a goodbye hug.

'Getting kidnapped by her, are you?' Tom asked me after our hug.

'Mmmhm.'

'Well, have fun.'

I laughed. 'Thank you.'

'See you tomorrow.' Rupert said hugging me.

'See yaa.'

'Bye.' Dan said and when we parted he held both of my hands and started to swing them side to side.

'What -?'

'We have to make up a secret handshake.'

I let out a laugh.

'Well it's not really a secret is it?' Emma said, gaping at our hands.

'We'll think of one tomorrow. For cool kids only.' Dan seemed to ignore her.

'Cool kids?' Emma raised her eyebrows.

'Yes, cool kids, Emma.' Dan looked at her, still swinging our hands together.

'You two look like lovers.' Rupert commented.

I instantly pulled my hand away, blushing. Dan and Rupert laughed.

'That doesn't mean you hate me, does it?'

'No, of course not.' I said quickly.

'Good.'

I smiled crookedly.

'Oh - mum's coming.' Emma nudged me. I turned around and sure enough a car was pulling over. The window came down and Emma's mum, Jacqueline, was smiling at us.

'Done your goodbyes?'

'Yep.' Emma replied.

'Then come on! I'll buy you Subway.'
