Home Not Sweet Home

We got back to ATL Monday afternoon.

The entire flight on our way home was peaceful but very few words were exchanged between August &I. He didn't even bother to sit next to me or in the same row. Anyone who knew us but not knew what happened could've sworn we had gotten into a full blown argument.

When we arrived at the airport, he went his way and I went mine. At that point I didn't even care.

I was just glad to be home and was still eager to see what was up with Shawn.

Once I was home, I threw a DiGiorno pizza in the oven and hopped in the shower while it cooked.

Any time I took a bath or shower with my ipod hooked up to the dock, it was no telling how long I was gonna be.

I sang my heart out along with Fantasia.

"Baby you don't pay me no mind, you act like you don't love me no more... maybe you need space or some time...your attitude is unpredictable. And I don't wanna make you unhappy, if you're not happy then you're free to go onnnnn... cuz I don't want you stayin around, if I make you so miserable... If you don't want me then don't talk to me....... go ahead and free yourself. If you don't want me then don't talk to me...... go ahead to someone else. If youuuu don't want me then don't talk toooo meeee...... go ahead and free yourself. If you don't want me then don't talk to meee...... go ahead to someone else. Again and again I try, baby don't you know that I tryyyyy... all the loveeee I had inside, has diiieeedd. Ohhhhh woo woo wooo woooo wooooo..."

I was really feeling it until Shawn busted into the bathroom...

"Babe! You in here hittin notes but burnin the damn pizza!", he said.

"Shit! I forgot!", I exclaimed as I stuck my head out from behind the shower curtain. "Can you take it out for me please."

"I already did.", he said.

I looked at him up and down, "You're drunk... this early, on a Monday?"

"I had a lil Henny." He leaned on the sink and continued talking to me. "Why you ain't tell me when you got back though? I would've picked you up from da airport."

"I didn't need a ride. I took a cab here." I stuck my head back behind the curtain, trying to rinse off the guilt that was building upon me.

Of course I wasn't going to tell him to come get me from the airport and have him see me with August.

"Could you go slice my pizza up for me... I should be out in like 5 minutes!"

"Yeah. Just hurry up. You owe me some quality time.", he said before leaving the bathroom.

After I got out of the shower, I lotioned myself down and threw on my pajamas. I made sure I was going to be in complete comfort, but not without my favorite pair of fuzzy slipper socks that I couldn't seem to find anywhere.

Shawn clearly acted like it was too much of a task to straighten up my bedroom while I was gone.

His clothes were thrown here and there, my shoes scattered everywhere, bed unmade...and I bet he hasn't made the bed since I left.

I shook my head at the mess I would've had to eventually clean up later myself.

"Shawn, did you see my purple slipper socks?!", I shouted to him in the living room.

"No. You probably put them in the hamper. I don't know!", he replied.

I sucked my teeth since he was no help and continued looking.
