So it's been a few weeks and I haven't seen nor spoke to August since the incident at the bowling alley, and I'm honestly okay with it.
Once I realized that he was never going to reach out to me, I knew for sure that it was all a done deal.
My apartment was together the way I wanted, I haven't been having any other disturbances, and Aaron and I have been mingling more on a personal note.

It was a nice day, and girl's time was overdue, so I met up with Myla, Jennifer, and Evelyn around 7pm at a nearby hookah lounge.
"What are we doin for your birthday bitch?!", Myla asked me.

I took a sip of my margarita and shrugged. "I haven't been thinking of any plans."

She sucked her teeth. "You playin'."

I rolled my eyes at Myla then looked at Evelyn, who was sitting next to me. "But why does she always act like my birthday is her birthday? ", I mumbled.

"No, forreal though. You don't wanna do anything in particular? ", Jennifer asked.

"What's there to do? I can go clubbin' at any time.", I replied.

"So let's go clubbin' somewhere else.", Jennifer suggested.

"Like? ", I asked, out of curiosity.

Jennifer looked down at her lap, thinking of a response until she found one. "Miami? "

"Ouuuuu! Miami. That would be dope.", Evelyn chimed in.

"That's so last minute!", I said.

"It is. BUT... the flights and hotel aren't that expensive. It's like $380 for a 2 bedroom suite from Friday to Monday." Jennifer explained.

"Well damn! You just pulled this information outta ya ass? ", Myla joked.

Jennifer laughed. "No stupid. I wanted to go on a lil vacation anyway, so I been checking online for rates."

"$380 though? You sure that's not for the sidewalk suite? ", I said, with a twisted face.

"That is hella cheap.", Evelyn said, laughing.

"The total ain't $380 y'all! It's like one thousand, five hundred-somethin, but if we all split it, estimated, we'd only have to pay $380 each.", Jennifer explained.

"Ohhhh okay. I get it!" Evelyn said.

"So... yay or nay? ", Jennifer asked, looking at each one of us.

I inhaled some of the strawberry kiwi hookah as I thought about it, then blew the smoke out.
"I guess we can do that.", I said.

Jennifer grinned. "Myla? Ev'? We goin to turn up on South Beach or nah? "

"I'm down.", Myla said.

Evelyn nodded, "It's a go."

"Yassssss!", Jennifer said, holding her glass up for cheers.

"So none of you still haven't spoke to Kenya? Like what's up wit' her? I hope she ain't avoiding me cuz she think I'm upset over that whole knowing August thing.", I said, with a sarcastic laugh.

Myla and Jennifer both shook their heads.

"I actually spoke to her one day last week.", Evelyn said.

"Oh, you did? Well, what happened? ", I asked.

For some reason, I could tell that Evelyn was hesitant to answer. I really didn't understand why, but I waited for her to speak.
