Poppy had found her place at Hogwarts over the past month and the Halloween feast was coming quickly. She and Harry enjoyed spending afternoons in the courtyard together talking about quidditch and his parents working for the order.

"Oh please, the Harpies are so much better than the Arrows," Poppy couldn't help but laugh at Harry for thinking the other way around; by the sound of Harpies, Ron joined in conversation and agreed with Poppy and telling Harry he hadn't a clue about anything in the professional quidditch league.

The three of them were laughing and poking fun at each other when a young girl, their year, ran by them with books in hand and tears rolling down her cheeks.

"Who's that?" Poppy couldn't help but notice the blue robes realizing it was a Ravenclaw running towards the girls bathroom.

"Hermione Granger, the biggest nerd I've ever met, its no wonder she's in Ravenclaw though, she really knows her stuff. Her parents worked for the order but were cursed with the obliviate spell, she lives with her aunt now," Ron rambled on, he seemed fascinated by her.

Poppy stood up and mumbled, "I'll see you later," and she went to follow Hermione to the bathroom. She ran inside and headed to the lavatory where she heard a stall close shut. Poppy quietly walked in and stood by the sinks, thinking of what to say.

"Are you alright?" She blurted out, real subtle, Poppy, real subtle.

"Who are you? What, have you come to ask me for tomorrows homework, or how my parents don't remember me at-" she slammed open the stall door in anger only for her face to drop and go blank as she realized who she was talking to,

"I, I'm so sorry, I-" her face went white and she had a loss of words.

"It's alright, I understand the pain of losing a parent, not both just-" Poppy found a loss of words as well.

"It's mental isn't it? Us being able to bond by bad things happening to our parents, absolutely mental,"

"Well I suppose, but at least we both know how it feels instead of those idiots who ran you off," Poppy tried to smile, but couldnt tell the mood of the room. In Muggle movies, this is the part where the two girls become best friends and appear in each others weddings, but Poppy didnt think this was that kind of moment.

"I'm Hermione Granger," Hermione held her hand out with a slight smile

"Poppy Snape," Poppy returned the handshake and smiled fully, "so why did you run into the girls bathroom, isnt that a bit melodramatic?" Poppy couldnt help but laugh and think about all the girls in the movies shes watched at home.

"Perhaps that was a bit dramatic, Pansy and her Slytherin friends like to ask about my parents and if they've restored their memory but of course not, obliviate is an irreversible curseeveryone knows that," Hermione was caught in thought of how someone could be so stupid to ask such a question, Poppy knew they were doing it intentionally fully knowing the spell was irreversible.

"Well I have a few friends waiting outside for me if you'd like to join," Poppy was thinking how she just ditched Harry and Ron, they were probably wondering whats taking her so long.

Hermione nodded and followed Poppy outside back to the blanket where the boys were, "guys, this is-"

"Hermione Granger, I, um, I'm,"

"Ron Weasley," Hermione giggled a bit and her cheeks went a shade darker as did Rons.

Well they clearly like each other, Poppy couldnt help but smile to herself.

Hermione sat on the blanket between Ron and Poppy as they talked about the upcoming Halloween dance and who was going with who.

"Oh, well I havent really thought about it nor have I thought about who to ask," Hermione led on, slightly tilting her head towards Ron, he didnt catch her signal but Harry elbowed him in the stomach.

"Oh right, would you wanna go with me?" Ron looked nervous as his cheeks flushed meanwhile Hermione beamed with a big smile and said yes while giving him a kiss on the cheek causing his cheeks to go redder.

"Poppy, would you wanna go with me? To the dance I mean," Harry couldn't hold contact as he was too nervous of rejection. Poppy wanted to go with Draco, but she didnt want to turn Harry down; and just as she turned her head towards Harry, she saw Pansy Parkinson kiss Draco on the cheek and hug him shouting that she couldnt wait for the dance.

"Sure, Harry, I'd love to go with you," and with that, Poppy and Hermione stood up and walked to the Great Hall together to grab some pudding.

I guess Draco is going with Pansy. But why would he go with her after he told me all those things about her? Have I been a fool this whole timeits only been a month Poppy dont be so stupid.
