Poppy woke up Halloween morning excited for the upcoming dance tonight, she couldn't believe how fast the school year had been going.

Knock. Knock.

She opened the door to see a smiling but stressed Hermione

"I can't figure out how to style my hair, fully up, half up half down, or fully down. I don't know what to do! I would ask Ron, but I want to surprise him," Hermione huffed out obviously frustrated that she couldn't figure out what to do.

"I think half up half down would be nice, it would definitely add some volume," Poppy gave a soft smile and suggested they head down to the Great Hall for lunch. Although they couldnt sit together, they always looked for each other and talked with their eyes.

They entered the loud Great Hall and took their spots with their house tables. Poppy saw Harry and Ron looking at her and waving with smiles on their faces. Harry's face flushed when she waved back, and he quickly went back to eating his plate of food.

"Still going to the dance with Potter, are you?" Draco side eyed Poppy, putting a spoonful of pudding in his mouth.

"Who else would I be going with?" Poppy felt annoyed, Draco was taking Pansy, he didn't ask her, so Harry did, and she accepted.

"Fine, be that way; Ill see you tonight," and with that, Draco stood up and left the Great Hall leaving Poppy speechless.

What the hell has gotten into him.

She stood up quickly and followed him out.

"Draco!" she yelled down the hallway, eyes immediately looking up and following, conversations stopping abruptly and listening to what was going to happen next.

Draco stopped but didn't turn to face Poppy, he could hear the silence in the hallway as footsteps came closer.

"Come. Here." Poppy huffed while grabbing his arm and pulling him out of the hallway and into an empty classroom, "what is your deal? Why are you so angry that I'm going to the dance with Harry, its not like you asked me to go with-"

Before Poppy could finish her tangent, Draco pulled her close to him and kissed her on the lips, Poppy melted into his arms before it was quickly ended.

"Meet me in the potions classroom tonight, midnight," Draco breathed into her and before she could respond, Draco disappeared into the halls and mixed in with fellow classmates.
