Sitting in the small shuttle next to Spock, Amanda sitting across from me holding my hands, ecstatic that I said yes.. Apparently.. Spock has been planning to propose over a month. Apparently the sneaky Vulcan has been asking Jim and Bones for help in finding a suitable ring.. since he knows nothing of human bonding rituals.. Ever since he learned about weddings, he's adamant that we have both types of ceremonies.. Even though I could care less about an earth wedding..
Now that I've had a moment to think.. I'm wondering why he's proposing so soon? Is it because I'm his Thy'la? I mean.. I only know what it means because of fanfics.. But I'm actually here in this universe so it could be something entirely different- No Alex.. calm down.. No need to start panicking now. Let's think about what we plan to do when we land. Spock said that we're gonna settle in first for a day.. then the next day we're going to begin the Koon-ut-la. A type of Vulcan marriage ceremony.. I'm so nervous.. I really wish my mom was here to see this.. see me get married...
The ship lands with a thud pulling me out of my thoughts, causing me to gently squeeze Spock's hand his breath catches in his throat.. The door opens and a rush of hot air full the shuttle, causing me to cough at the temperature difference. Stepping outside I look to go grab our stuff, Spock sets his hand on the small of my back gently. "But our stuff-"
"There is no need, the servants shall collect them for us." Nodding to Spock I watch as two Vulcans begin to grab the bags bringing it to- Jesus Christ, kinda forgot... Sarek is an ambassador, so he's loaded..
A massive house sits inside a hillside, catching me off guard.. "Holy shit.." Sarek looks over to me with a confused expression. "Sorry uh.. it's an earth saying. Something we say when amazed or startled." Nodding in acknowledgement he walks to the door, Amanda walking behind him.
"Welcome to our home Alex of Earth." Looking around as I step inside, amazed at how earthen it looks.. It looks almost like everything is made out of clay.. it's so nice. Like cottage core but in the desert.
"Thank you Sarek. Your home is beautiful.. Kinda reminds me of a hobbits house."
"Hobbits?" Again looking utterly confused, becoming perplexed at my outbursts.
"Oh. A fantasy race whom build their homes into hillsides. They are from a fantasy book series called 'The lord of the rings'. " Sarek nods along as he guides me into the.. what I assume is the living room?
"Ah.. I do not read fantasy novels. They are illogical, they contain no knowledge within them." That's debatable.. but okay.
"Heh honestly I can't get enough of the stuff personally. I love fantasy literature, gives you a way to experience a different reality." Spock walks behind me into the room from a hallway, still dressed in his Starfleet uniform. Standing at my side, he holds my fingers against his.
"The ceremony shall be performed in two days time. That shall give you enough time to invite any family members from Earth if you choose to do so."
"Oh.. right um.." Looking down at the floor saddened. I don't think my family will be able to come here.. hell, even if they did. They would all have panic attacks.
"What's the matter dear?" Amanda looks at me, worry adorning her features.
"Alex is from an alternate reality. Her family cannot attend, they are physically not able." Spock says for me, gently rubbing my fingers to sooth me sensing my sadness.
"That is impossible." Sarek stares at Spock with a brow raised.
"It is possible because my biological father is a being whom can travel through multiple dimensions at will. Since I'm the daughter of one such beings it has given me tremendous abilities." I say with a soft sigh.
