Chapter 16 - Here comes the bride

- One Day Later -

Laying in bed curled up against Spock a content smile on my face, his comforting warmth surrounding me. Sleepily I open my eyes, my body deciding that it's time to awaken. Spock senses me stirring and opens his eyes as well. "Ashayam..?" Spock says groggily, wrapping his arms tighter around me. Holding me close to him in a protective embrace. I sigh softly at the pressure around my body.

I smile up at him. "Good morning, Ashayam." Leaning up I kiss him gently on the lips. "We should probably get dressed.. My dad's bringing my family over today.." I say softly, sleep still clinging to my body.

"I would prefer to 'cuddle' with you more. It is rather pleasant and is growing on me as you say." A ghost of a smile in his eyes as he continues to hold me close. Sighing happily in content himself.

"Well mister man, we can cuddle later. I have to make sure that my family doesn't panic about being on an alien planet... in another dimension." My brain envisions my mother passing out with a scream. I sigh softly and Spock reluctantly releases me from his ironclad hold. Sliding down the bed I sit on the edge, grabbing a small robe Amanda gave me the night before.

Spock gets out of bed himself and dresses quickly in a traditional Vulcan wedding robe, much to his dismay. I wrap myself up in my own very comfy wedding robe with a smile, enjoying the texture of the fabric. Vulcans sure know how to be comfy that's for damn sure.

Spock stands at the door waiting for me, I comb my hair quickly and walk over to him with a smile. Holding out his fingers, I place mine against his. Leading me outside his room. We're suddenly transported outside in a flash of light. I startle with wide eyes at the sudden transition. "Bah sorry, I couldn't wait any longer. Walking is so slow." Q lays himself on a large rock wearing a tuxedo, resting his chin on his hand as he looks at us. Rolling his eyes at the very idea of walking everywhere when you can teleport. Smiling softly I give him a nod in understanding, chuckling softly under my breath. "Hopefully your mother doesn't kill me.. alright here we go."

Holding both hands up he snaps loudly echoing around us with a thundering boom, with a bright flash of light my close family is standing in front of us in the sand. They begin to look around with confusion and fear. They're breathing normally, Q must have made them pockets of their own atmosphere around their bodies.

"Alex?" My mom finally says seeing me and whom she knows as 'Sam'. My 12 year old cousin Gage clings to his mother's side looking around petrified, unsure of what's going on having been in school a moment ago.

"Hi mom.. uh.. this is uh.. gonna be quite the story I'm gonna tell you." Rubbing the back of my neck, avoiding her gaze laughing nervously.

"It is alright Ashayam." Spock sets a hand on the small of my back, looking at me with love in his eyes but a stone cold expression.

"Oi! Get your hand off her!" My aunt yells at Spock, holding her baby daughter Paizley in her arms as she cries.

"Aunt Tori it's fine. We're uh actually getting married today. Er.. bonded I should say." Leaning into Spock with a smile on my face as he wraps an arm around me.

"Lexi.. where are we?" My grandfather looks at me, then around to the scenery. My grandmother clinging to him petrified, he holds her in an attempt to comfort her. Masking his own fear with his muscular bravado.

"You are on the planet Vulcan, currently at my place of residence." Sarek and Amanda walk out from the house, having heard the commotion.

"Wait a sec. That's sounds really familiar.." Amanda looks at the ground in thought then snaps her fingers. "STAR TREK!! From the fricken movie!" Of course she would remember it from the goddamn movie.. and not the TV shows.. She's not a true Trekkie, she only watched it because the kids did. Q rolls his eyes, not enjoying this conversation pinching the bridge of his nose.
