Would like to know what people think of the story and if you've got any ideas to improve the story I'm open to hearing them.

First lesson back and it was math with Mrs Harper and to say she was evil was an understatement. It was like she was a bull that had seen red every second of the day. Her voice bellowed down the halls of the school no doubt giving some poor kid an after school detention for no apparent reason. Luckily I had Erin with me to endure these two hours of pain.

“Welcome back” Mrs Harper's deafening voice filled the room “I trust you all had a good summer vacation so there is no need for fun in my classroom”

“She’s such a slave driver” I whispered to Erin. Regretting my decision to say anything as soon as the words left my mouth. Mrs Harper was like a hawk after prey in her classroom.

“Ah Miss Jones” She sounded flamboyantly “Why don’t you share what you have to say with the class?”

“I’d rather not” I muffled.

“Very well then. You will join me after school”

“But-”

“No buts Miss Jones” She cut me off straight away. Sinking into my chair I wanted to die an after school detention with Mrs Harper God give me strength.

“Right ladies and gentlemen you have a start of semester test let’s see how many of you remembered to revise” She smirked whilst placing each paper gently on our desks.

*

“Thank god that’s over” Erin let out a sigh of relief as we headed out of the dragons dungeon.

“I remembered hardly anything on that test. I’ll be surprised if she doesn’t get me to redo it later” I groaned inwardly the thought of spending 40 minutes with Mrs Harper still didn’t appeal to me. Feeling my phone buzz in my pocket I pulled it out it was Mark not interested in what he had to say I slid it back in my pocket.

Opening my locker I placed my books inside before shutting it and leaning against it as Erin searched through hers.

“God the girls in this school drive me insane” Josh’s voice grabbed my attention.

“No I just think you’re insane” I grinned.

“Seriously whenever I talk to a girl and Mr Fancy Pants walks past he totally takes their attention. Literally they just walk away from me and follow him”

“And Mr Fancy Pants would be?” I asked

“Him” Josh pointed before wolf whistles and giggles filled the hallways as Coach Walker walked out of a classroom with an embarrassed smile “See” He added throwing his hands in the air.
