Mysterious Thief Phantom (FanFiction)

--Chapter 7 Prayer

Author's note: Now with the full circle in place, we have witness the death of Aria in Chapter 1 and in Chapter 6 we get to see how Aria gradually died with her last remaining breath she uttered Phantom's name. 

The reason for her death is her disagreement with the Black Mage demonic wish for world to create chaos to the world. Aria refused the Hilla envoy's treaty and Hilla strike out to raze Ereve to the ground, but destroying the entire kingdom.

Ninehearts got injured bad and he lost his left sight from a cruel act and got teleported to safety. But his injury resulted to a death of another. Which is Aria.

Because Shimsoo did not have enough magical energy to save Aria. Shimsoo used his remaining energy to telepathically call Phantom.

Hear our Prayer is used as the BGM, because it gives the feeling of hope and renewal after such an unfortunate event.

--Chapter 7 Prayer

Phantom, knew" when he observes Aria's eye usually animated eyes now just stare straight blankly at him.  "Shimsoo, Aria's dead right?" Phantom's face is shrouded by the night sky and the rain.

The wind was frigid cold that night as it cut through the bone of Phantom and left him to shiver. The rain poured heavy that night, thunder and lightning stormed and the reality of Aria's death could not be erased,

"Aria... why does life have to be unfair to you? You don't deserve an ending like this." Phantom took hold of Aria's lifeless body in his arms. "I would gladly exchange all my wealth that I have, just to bring you back."

Aria's body remain motionless. Cold and frigid. Her once beautiful clothes has been drenched under the rain down pour. Aria's hair is matted towards her forehead and Phantom help to swept away the hair to see Aria's face more clearly. Like how promises is swept away. The promise made between Phantom and Aria to see each other the next day... Is now nothing but a broken promises burried under a sea of dreams.

"Shimsoo what really happened?" said Phantom. I have to know, Aria.. your so important to me. Whatever figment of information I can get, I will gladly accept it.

"Phantom," said Shimsoo telepathically. "I will show you part of her memory," and the jewel above Shimsoo head, turn from turquoise to crimson. And took out a fragment of Aria's memory from her cranium,  and it came out like a glowing ball of light.  "But be warned, some of the things you see from Aria's memory, would not be pleasant." Shimsoo sad and blue eyes gazed gently at Phantom's eye. Their eyes met for a moment. "Do you still wish to know?"

"Yes I still wish to know," replied Phantom.

"You have been warned."

Phantom saw the flashbacks of Shimsoo, it burst scenes after scenes in sequence, like a faded movie screen, except he was stepping into Aria's memory first it begin with the soldiers and envoy reaching the floating bay of Ereve of deceive from Hilla, Hilla's almost missed in hitting Aria's face and Ninehearts took the hit instead and blood spurted in every direction. Maniacal laughter that ringed in his ear and screams of terror, and the final memory of Aria succumb to death of Lyka and Leviathan. And then while Aria still barely conscious she saw Hilla jabbing at her with her cane at her leg.
