Mysterious Thief Phantom (FanFiction)

--Chapter 3 Chase

Author's note:

This still happen in the past, before the events of Aria death. On previous episode Phantom was surrounded by a batallion of Empress guards in the garden, so how does he escape. In this chapter we shall see in "Chase!"

--Chaper 3: Chase!

"You are surrounded now! And there's no where you can run too!" said one of the head guards with a two-handed sword and gold plated helm to mark his seniority. 

"We'll see about that", as Phantom then threw a smoke bomb and everyone was engulfed momentarilly.

Coughing was ensured, among the guards from the effect from the smoke, "Ah where did her go too!?"  One of the guard that was crouching down. Hacking cough as the smoke was quite pervasive to the eyes and nostril like tear gas.

Amidst the confusion, the guards groped around blindly and one of the guards in Silver helmet henchmen who regained vision, says, "He's there! After him! and to which they saw Phantom smiling at them and bidding them fair fell.

Phantom took one palm of his hand, and in one slosh actions he took out 4 cards that glowed beautifully in under the moon light and held it towards his chest, chanted some verse with his lips and unleash the cards back again towards the guard then send out an explosion upon contact. 

Some guards were hurt in the process, bruised and groaning, and the rest of the unhurt guards, still chased him. Phantom ran towards the corner and quickly changed his outfit, resembling the guards and as they were walking his way from the blind spot. He conveniently join them from the back of the searching crowd. Which then the head guard in exasperation said, "Where' is he?!"

Phantom pretending to be the guard, then says, "He's at the back of us! I just saw him!"  Phantom heart float with glee, of how smooth his plan of deception goes and he thoughts, "Now if I could make my esca-" and there's a voice who called him over. Now who on earth has just called me, Phantom sighed deeply.

It's Mikhael one of the 5 grand Cygnus Knight, and Mikhael looked ready to fight, fierced and tense as he looses all friendliness as he had with Princess Aria, and he drew out his sword that he prized for Lion Heart Battle Scimitar. "I knew you were around when I heard the loud blast earlier on. With a highly skilled card wielder,"  losing all sense of warmth in his voice.

"Hehs another duel?" this will be fast. And Phantom drew out his cards and morph it into his Cane.

And Phantom taunt Mikhael into a duel. And they fought and Sword and Cane Steel clashed together repeatedly. Leaving a shock wave after shock wave together. Till the point of both of exhaustion and until Phantom quick dexterity and nimbleness able to allow him to blow in a few finishing savage blows that brought down Mikhael to his knees. Mikhael and Phantom were both injured in the heated duel.

Mikhael in his staggering positin unable to rise to fight for try to heave himself back up with the Lion Heart as it can be seen he struggled to get back up. His mind has not accepted defeat but his mind does not permit to. 

And Phantom as his was about to lend the finishing coup de grâce and Mikahel tired and worn out look up and sort of says: Good Fight, just then a looming large shadow cover above them. And Phantom saw the largest translucent Dragon of majestic beauty he has ever seen- Shimsoo. Possibly the size of a double story house.

And Phantom heard the a transmitting like voice speaking to him, "Phantom, that's enough."

"That voice where is it coming from?" As Phantom seems perplexed for a moment. And understood soon after immediately Shimsoo was using telepathy to communicate even though Shimsoo had a huge mouth that could easily gobbled up little boys and girls if they were naughty. Rest assured though, Shimsoo is an actual vegetarian, he's diet is mainly 45 pounds load of leafy vegetables per day. So those who are reading here under 12 years old, can sleep peacefully tonight.

And Aria waved hi as she was then seen riding on Shimsoo neck back.
