Helbram looked down at Melody who was holding onto his ankle and starting up at him with weak pleading eyes.

"Don't...he's....all I have." He frowned as tears began falling down her cheeks. The way she's looking at him is making his heart break...he couldn't bare it any long and knelt down to embrace her in a hug.

"I won't...I promise." He soothed until she finally lost the little remaining strength she had left and passed out again; falling limp in his arms once more. " don't worry, I'll get you back safe and sound-" The ground began to shake as very loud foot steps approached.

"Helbram!" The fairy boy grit his teeth as his mother and sister yelled in unison, suddenly appeared from out of the bush, both in their giant forms.

He looked at his sister and mother with mixed emotions. Happiness and excitement were neither and Diane also started at her son with that same look. Deloris quickly shrunk down and went to help him, but he stopped her and told her to leave it to him.

The way Deloris changes her forms is similar to kings, so it's kind of like transformation magic, sort of.

He quickly scooped up his lover bridle style and floated up to his mother and placed her in her hands.

"Take her back to the tavern and look after her for me, I need to deal with Meliodas." She nodded and looked down at Melody, from her pain stricken face to her stomach and sighed. What were you kids thinking?

Diane nodded again in agreement, deciding that now wasn't the time to argue with her son and instead left. Deloris trailing after her.

"Meliodas..." Helbram snapped. "You gonna just lay there like a little bitch or do something!?"

"Just go, be with her, keep her safe." He lifted his head to look him in the eyes. "But never hurt her." Helbram clenched his jaw but decided to bite his tongue and nod.

"Of course I will! She's my girlfriend!"

Diane shrunk down and carried Melody into the tavern.

Zeldris, Merlin, Ban, Gowther, Elaine and King all rushed over.

"What happened!?" Merlin demanded, examining the girls body, noticing the deep wound on her left arm. "How did she get that?" The mage ran her finger over the cut, making the demons face twist in pain.

"I have no idea, Helbram just gave her to me and said to look after her." The brown haired giantess explained while Zeldris walked forward to take his unconscious niece.

"I have a bad feeling that this was Meliodas." He sighed and looked down at her with a pained expression.

"Surely not!" Ban interjected with a worried Elaine clinging onto his muscular arm. "The captain would never do something like this to his own kid." The room suddenly went silent for a second before Gowther decided to join in.

"Why do you think that the captain did this?" The doll spoke nonchalantly, pushing up his glasses.

"Well for starters her wound is oozing with his darkness, which means he had the intent of killing her."

The intent of killing his own daughter? No! Sure they've had a few arguments, but he would give his own fucking LIFE to protect her. So why would he do something like that!?

"But she's a demon, just like you and the captain and a royal one at that. So wouldn't she just heal?" King spoke unable to take his eyes off of the resting demon. Zeldris shook his head and took Melody from Diane. Saying that he needed to take her upstairs so Merlin could treat her.

"Yes and no, but at the moment we should let her rest, so leave it." Zeldris glared at them all and then being rewarded with a couple 'yeah, okays'.

What king said was half right, but Even though all demon have a regenerative ability, they can still die. Demons are not immortal, they take damage too. The fact that Melody was struck by her own father - the first born demon prince - is bad news.

And Zeldris is worried that this could lead to something bad.
