- Melody Pov -

As Helbram and I reentered the large wooden tavern, we were overwhelmed by a strong ominous presents.
I look at Helbram with fear in my normally vibrant green eyes.
My father was standing at the top of the stairs looking down at us. Unfortunately we were the only people in the tavern at that time, meaning that we were alone with him.

He was glaring at me in particular, his onyx eyes were like daggers as he stared into my soul. I visibly sweat dropped as I backed away a little. 'Shit shit shit shit shit!' I cursed in my head while looking over at Helbram who was shaking and sweating as well.
My dad can be a really scary person if you get on his bad side but he's even more scarier when he's in his demon form.

"Where were you two!?" He growled while glaring at the two of us angrily.

"We were in the forest." My words were barely audible, but I could tell that he heard me.

"You know that Estarossa is going to kill you if he finds you, right?" I couldn't remember the last time that my dad was this strict, normally he was fine with me going out on my own, but I was with Helbram this time. I understand where he's coming from, but it's just a little over the top.

"I do." I hesitated, becoming all too aware of the life inside me. "It's just...Helbram and I needed some fresh air and-." He cut me off by slamming his hands on the wooden railing.

"I DON'T CARE! I'M NOT GOING TO LOSE ANOTHER ONE OF MY KIDS! YOU UNDERSTAND!?"

"..." I shut my mouth before anything came out.

"MELIODAS! YOU CAN'T BLAME HER! IT WAS MY IDEA AND BESIDES SHE WAS SAFE WITH ME!" Helbram shouted back at him while stepping in front of me protectively.

"H-Helbram." I whispered.

"Come on, Melody. Let's leave!" He suddenly grabbed my small hand and pulled me toward the door. I looked behind me at my dad; his bangs were casting a shadow over his eyes and he was obviously trying not to cry.

"Dad...I'm sorry...that I wasn't strong enough to save her." His head shot up, but the door had already closed.

"Are you alright?" Helbram said while looking me in the eyes.
I was sitting on a cliff; the waves were crashing against the rock causing water to splash up at me. Helbram was floating in front of me, trying to get me to talk to him, but I refused.
"Please...just talk to me." His voice was laced with worry And concern as he grabbed my face - my expression stayed unchanged.
Despite me showing no emotion, I still allowed the tears to fall down my cheeks.
Helbram gently whipped away the tears with his thumb and then kissed me on the forehead. "It's okay...don't cry." He pulled me into an embrace and began stroking my golden hair.

"I'm sorry. I'm just sad because my dad has suffered so much. First he lost my mother and then Eliza, soon...it's gonna be me." I grit my teeth as I tried to hold back my tears. "How am I supposed to tell him that I'm pregnant, I mean he's gonna totally flip out."

"Well, don't forget that we'll also need to tell my parents." He chuckled nervously, trying to reassure me. I felt the tears stop and instead a small smile played on my pink lips.

"Yeah, but your mum might actually be happy." I gave a small giggle as I pictured Diane fawning over her grandchild - who is due in 4 months.

"You know, I really don't like you sitting so close to the edge. Why don't we go some place else?" He winked at me.

"Sure, but only if you carry me there." I winked back at him.

"I-I was going to anyway!" He blushed while sliding one arm under my legs and one arm of my back and lifting me up bridal style. "So? Where do you wanna go?" He whispered into my ear huskily.

"Anywhere as long as it's with you."
