Melody's Pov:
'Okay Miss Judgy what do you think of this one?' She yells pushing open the curtain.'Erm I'm not Miss Judgy...Wow Layla' I gasp.
The dress hugs her body just right popping every curve, the straps are thin with flowers trailing down them running through to her waistline creating the effect of lace and slice's of the flowers flowing down to her skirt. It was beautiful. In the light all the flowers sparkled from the effect of hidden gems placed in between them.
(If unsure of how it looks there is a picture above)'Shush Melody you don't mean that!' She blushes.
'Bish if you were single I would ask you to marry me' I wink.
'Melody' she giggles.
'So is this the one?' I ask.
'It's the one' she smiles.
'Good let's go'
'Jesus Melody you had fun admit it?'
'Fine but if you tell anyone I kill you' I reply my face dropping into a scowl.
I watch in amusement as her face creases into shock.
'I'm joking Layla' I chuckle.
Her shoulders relax dropping downwards as she takes a deep breath before making her way back to the dressing room. Dropping back into the chair I take my last sip of champagne, the bubbles fizzing on my tongue making my head drift off into space. The world spins around me as I let the alcohol seep through me. Emptiness filling my thoughts caressing my worries into faded memories.
'Melody you alright hun?' Layla coos.
'Yeah just enjoying the bubbles of champagne' I chuckle.
'Melody love have you drunk at all during your last twenty four years of life?' She asks.
'Well we kinda had to be able to hold a drink when needed for discreet missions but no I have never properly gotten drunk or had multiple drinks at once why?' My head flops up as I notice a grin spread across Layla's face.
'Come on let's go get you some water you have four to many drinks' she chuckles pulling me up and slinging my arm over her shoulders.
'Your so good to me Bobby's lucky' I coo.
'I wish he knew that' she sighs.
'What's up?' I push myself up and turn towards her.
'Don't worry you nutter let's get you sober!'
'What about your dress?'
'Don't worry they are getting it ready to fit me'
'Oh that's good!' I smile.
'Yeh' she laughs pushing me into the car.
'Where we of to?' I sing.
'To a café up the road to get you a drink and some food to soak up the alcohol'
'Oooh more bubbles?'
'Sure'
The car finally jolts to a stop and Layla drags me out the car towards the café entrance. It's a quaint little place with a few table placed delicately outside and a black banister leading the steps up to the entrance. In bright blue printed on the window beside me is the word: QUINNS. Some of the letter have scratches through them but it's still legible.
'This is cute' I hiccup.
'I know Bobby introduced it to me when we first got together' she replies drifting off to a memory.
'Come on' she tugs me up. 'There's a table over there'
Layla's Pov:
I drop Melody onto the seat letting her attempt to adjust but she ends up sliding off. I pull her back on and lean her against the table.'I'm so confused you only had 4 drinks'
'I believe the term is light weight' she giggles.
I roll my eyes and pull up a menu to look through.
'Bobby and me had ice cream the other day' a cheeky grin grows on her lips.
'I know he told me, did you have a nice time?' I ask.
'Yeah it was good but then something weird happened' she shrugs beginning to slide down again, I pull her back up and hold her still with my hand.
'What happened?' I ask turning to properly focus on her.
'Don't worry it's a secret' she giggles.
'I won't tell'
'Okay but promise you won't tell Layla' she insists.
I roll my eyes at her drunken forgetfulness and nod for her to continue.
'We almost kissed' she exclaims. 'But I started a new conversation before it could happen'
I sit stunned as she shakily goes to grab the other menu placed in between the salt and pepper. I drop back into my seat my head spinning with thoughts, they almost kissed. They almost kissed. She stopped it. He would have kissed her but she stopped it.
'I regret leaving him in the hospital, I always have' she sighs.
'Sorry what? I thought you and Bobby separated earlier on before anything happened' I ask in confusion.
'Well I did but it was at the hospital...' she takes a deep breath attempting to concentrate. 'because as you know I was shot and then some how Bobby got shot on a walk outside the hospital making him lose his leg' she giggles. 'He lost his leg! How nutty is that?' Melody's chuckling again.
'Melody concentrate then what happened?' I shake her.
'Right...then I left the hospital once I felt about eightyish percent better and told Bobby leaving him stranded'
'Jesus Melody'
'Yeah I was an absolute idiot I left the best thing in my life alone. The one person I loved and still love alone to deal with everything I had piled on top of them'
'You love Bobby?'
'Yeah always will he helped me to become better and he made me smile more than anyone I have ever known. But I would never get in between him and Layla'
'Why?'
'Because she hasn't done anything but help and care for me' she shrugs.
My head thrums with all the new information it has been imploded with. Bobby and Melody were in love but neither of them ever knew. Melody is the girl that put him into the depression for a year. Melody is the girl that made him become someone you could feel safe with. Melody is the girl who taught him how to survive. I was his rebound turned fiancé.
How? I can't yell at him nothing happened. They didn't kiss. All they did was go for ice cream and almost did. Almost fell in love. Almost became each others person, almost became each others soulmate.
He loves me, he always has. But is it in the right way?

Melody's Pov:
I roll over and land on something soft, the sent of honey filling my head. It swirls around leaving pain and taking drunken memories from me. Slowly, I attempt to get up and have a wash but my head thrums pushing me back down.'Morning sleepy head!' George screams.
'Ughh shut up!' I yell.
'I whispered' he yells once more.
'George' I groan.
'Someone had too much to drink' he tuts.
'George' I groan again.
'Alright sunshine I'll leave the pain relief and water on the side' he chuckles walking back out of my room.
Sliding round I grab the pull swallowing it quickly and gently sip some water before slamming back down on the pillows.
Ooooh what do we think of that chapter?
Layla knows about the kiss!
