IN THE LONG RUN (BOOK 2 OF BAR BLUES!)

Chapter 10:The truth...

Melody's Pov:
'Go on then speak!' I yell making him flinch.

'Your need to be rude never surprises me!'

'It sure did then when you flinched!' I laugh as his face begins to scrunch up in anger.

'I would like to continue if you would let me?' Mr Faux replies sternly.

'Do try' I snicker.

'So it's been what four years now since we saw each other? What fun times!'

I stare at him blankly as he attempts to make a dig at what he knows has happened.

'Anyway the truth... the big explanation...'

'Get on with it!'

'About a year before Bobby was kidnapped I was investigating a company called Show Tech. They make phones, tablets, electric watches and other things that weren't really of any interest'

'Are we getting to the point or are you just gonna tell me your life story?' I interrupt.

Nothing.

'However when we looked deeper into it we found that they secretly produce all types of weaponry. It went from guns to grenades to rocket launchers to exploding pens. It was amazing so we formed a plan to take over!' His whole body moves with his words lighting up as he went along. It was beautiful the joy he found from talking but creepy that I am noticing this.

'Melody hello? Are you listening?' I snap back into reality as I see a rough wide hand swaying in front of my face.

'Sorry continue oh great one'

'As I was saying' he replies his tone slightly raising. 'We had formed this plan everything was great down to the t but...that night when we was following through with phase one someone caught us. Everything had been thought out we had people watching the tenant to make sure he wasn't there when we went'  He stops in a huff shaking his head as he does so.

'Mr Faux?'

'Sorry anyway I had sent one of my employees to find the paper work that we could use to show legally how we got the firm but when he was mid way through looking Bobby walked in. We didn't know what he had saw so we took him in hopes to find out but when we came back that evening to ask he had gone'

'The night I took him!'

'Ahh she is listening' he chuckles in response.

'Hang on this doesn't make sense why were you partnered up with the smugglers? Why is Bobby involved he doesn't work there?'

'I had to! If I had gone with myself we would have been caught so I had to use the smugglers as cover'

'That explains the reports at the agency but you still haven't explained why Bobby was involved? Oh and why two men showed up in our motel room!' I exclaim.

'Yes Bobby doesn't work there now but he did and he was very close with the boss. He didn't know but he was secretly hiding everything for the company until he quit later that year' he answers. 'Oh and they were meant to scare you away but it didn't that's why I came and well shot you!'

'You piece of S**t!' I yell punching him in the process. My fist burns as it makes contact with his nose. I haven't done that in a while, it's more weapons now a days. Easier.  I am dragged back by the men that followed me here.

'Oh dear sweet Melody! You must have known?' He questions.

'What do you think? You sociopath!' I scream struggling as I feel the men's grips tighten around my skin. 'Oh and then shooting Bobby in the leg and shoulder that was real nice of you!'

'What he was shot?!' He turns to look at me confused.

'Yeah don't act all stupid it was obviously you!'

'I promise you Melody that I didn't do that! Yes I shot you but I would never shoot an innocent!' He replies faithfully.

'You don't shoot innocents? You shot my cousin and me?!' I push my way out of there deathlike grips running a little bit to grab him when I am yanked back again.

'Melody be serious you and your cousin both killed people' he chuckles amused. 'It was like a family business'

'Not for everyone! So if it wasn't you who shot Bobby?'

'Oh yeah dear old dad didn't but your mother sure did! I don't know probably the company... perhaps trying to tie up loose ends' he replies carelessly.

'Ughhh....' I moan.

Sorry for the short chapter I know we have been on a role of doing them longer but I wanted this chapter to focus on filling in everything. Hope this helps clear everything up. Btw picture of Mr Faux at the top aka Arthur Shelby and the fight song beside it. Nothing to do with the chapter just liked it. Sorry for the long wait for this chapter!:)
