George's Pov:

Once I am a safe distance from the offices I pull my phone out of my pocket to ring Layla.

"Hey La La I spoke to my boss I can meet you for three?"

"Ahh great thanks George!" she replies her voice sounding strained.

"You alright La La?"

"I am fine big bro talk to you at three I'll come pick you up from work!" she replies quickly as I hear the phone hang up.

That was weird I wonder what's got her knickers in a twist. I love my sister but she can act really sketchy sometimes especially on the phone.

I walk out from the roatating doors and as promised or more truthfully yelled is Layla waiting for me in her cream white convertible Volkswagen Beetle. As I walk closer to the car she turns and waves smiling sheepishly as I make my way into the passenger seat.

"You alright La La? You have been acting weird?" I ask immediately regretting it as her face begins to crumble into to tears.

"La La what's wrong? I didn't mean to upset you...oh La La you know I am not good when people cry" My voice breaks as I wrap my arms around her in comfort feeling every thread in my suit tighten. These are not made for comfort at all.

Her sobs begin to slow down as I calmly sooth her "Take a deep breath...in...and out...in and out" I readjust my sitting position as I feel her head lift up to look at me.

"Bobby's...cheating...on me" she replies her voice cracking with every word.

"What Layla? What do you mean?"

"Ever since he asked me to marry him, his been off with me and always feeling his coat pocket when he hears a buzz" she replies crying again.

"Oh La La his not cheating on you" I chuckle "Bobby doesn't have enough brain power to do something like that" I rap her in a hug as she begins to debate this in her head.

"But his been off with me since the proposal?" she asks.

"La La you know Bob's he always worries and probably thinks your gonna say no even though you already have the ring on your finger" I smile sweetly in response.

"Oh yeah of course" she huffs in a attempt to laugh.

"Come on lets swap seats and I'll drive us to a café where you can explain to me what's brought this on"

Once we have both swapped seats I drive towards a ice cream store I know she will love as I watch her in the corner of my eye with her head resting against the window breathing softly in and out.

"Can we get the ice cream to go so we an walk and eat it please?" she asks after sitting in silence for the whole journey.

"Of course"

I park the car leaving Layla inside as I get the ice cream.

"Two scoops of chocolate chip in a tub and two scoops of vanilla in a cone please"

The lady scoops the ice cream up into the containers with a smile that I wish I could hold as easily.

"$5.75 please"

I hand her the money smiling as she counts the coins, pleased to find I have the correct money.

"Thank you bye" I yell as I swing the cute little multi coloured door open to find Layla waiting with her body leaning against a pole.

"So my dear sister why is one doubting there future husband?"

She roles her eyes as she licks her ice cream that runs down her finger due to the cone which makes me cringe. Why do people like cones, I mean I get you can eat them but they are so incredibly messy.

"I was just worried he seemed so off with me"

"Did you talk to him about it?"

"No but I did talk to him about our wedding" she replies sheepishly.

"Then you should talk to him Layla"

"Yeah but did I tell you about when he ran off at the park the night when he proposed then said he thought he saw a ice cream truck at ten in the evening and oh then mysteriously hurt his fake leg" she questions looking up at me.

"No but I can ask Bobby about it if you want?"

"NO!" she yells stunning me and causing the people around us to stare.

"Geez it was just a question" I laugh amused.

"George!" she looks at me sternly "I am sorry it's just I don't want Bobby to worry and I'll talk to him just have to find the right time"

"Thanks for the chat George it has really helped" she replies wrapping her arms around me.

"Always La La and don't worry about Bobs talk to him tonight, everything will figure itself out"

"Probably..."
